The suite on our 1st night of our stay was very disappointing. Had to stumble to find a lamp upon entry, no light when flip switch. Whirlpool tub didn't work, looked like it hadn't in a long time. After turning tub faucet off it continued to flow, not just a drip but almost enough to shower, try to sleep with sound of water running all night. Living room tv had no sound on most stations. Advertised as pool view 1 bedroom suite, no pool in sight from balcony, view was of bistro inside roof & hvac system. Lastly the refrigerator didn't cool so milk soured over night. They attempted to make it right with a $50 credit on the $229 room charge. For an almost sleepless night on eve of son's wedding, not enough.

Not as nice as other Holiday Inn's

Stayed at Holiday Inn in Brandon, SD the week before, it was awesome. I thought this would be just as good, I was wrong. This is an old hotel with a refresh on the surface. Rooms were smelly like old hotel rooms. No continental breakfast, has a Bristo that you have to pay for breakfast. For the price you pay to stay it should have included breakfast. My husband works in Austin, I will be up and staying frequently, but not there. Very disappointing.

Rough check in

At check in, I was given keys to a dirty room with the TV still on. When I went back to the front desk, he didn't believe me and made me walk back to the dirty room to show him. Unprofessional. He should have apologized and just given me keys to a clean room. Frustrating check in. Rest of my stay was uneventful once I got a clean room.

Overpriced for a small town.

Pros: a holiday inn
Cons: overpriced
The bathroom tile had mold in the grout. The room was clean and green painted. Bed was lumpy, uncomfortable, something bit me, and I could not sleep not matter what. Mentioned it to the front desk and they stood by the fact "they replaced the mattresses recently." A likely story. The maids woke me up at 7:30 am banging doors and vacuuming in rooms. Pools are small, and someone was using a beer can as a door opener on the secured door outside, which did not make me feel safe. A friend who works for Hormel says they put their clients at the nearby AmericaInn because the beds are better and the hotel is nicer. The hotel is overpriced as you can stay in the Hilton in Chicago for less money a night.
