When I asked the front desk Attendant if he could fix my TV. He said “why do you need a tv. It’s late just go to bed” it was 10pm. I am a seasoned traveler. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I slept n my clothes.

Hotel room itself was very dated but extremely clean. The water out of the faucet was brown and the shower had nothing but scalding hot water. The sink occasionally hand some cool water but the drain did not work very well and you ended up having soap or toothpaste residue in the sink. The shower did not have a drain cover so it was just a hole in the tub. The television remote did not turn the television on but it did change the channels and volume. The free breakfast in the morning included waffles in which the machine was turned off after every use so it took a lot longer to cook when used. The apple juice was watered down and the orange juice was not very fresh. Tasted like it had been in the dispenser for a very long time. There is a sink next to the breakfast with a sign that reads "not drinkable water" and there is a large water bottle next to it for drinking water. For $124 per night, I would have expected a little better of quality.

Very quiet

Location: close enough to do lots in Iowa city
One of the quietest stays in a long time. Could use a small continental breakfast, but otherwise very good stay.

Motel 6 STINKS

Pros: nothing... oh beds were comfortable
Cons: spunggy floors fixed.. new carpet or tile.. entrances fixed of siding off and bathroom toilet replaced.. CLEAN... Mow and weed wack... fix driveway
Location: Amana Colonies Iowa... hotel located near and right on interstate with shopping across road..
I was very disapointed in this motel 6. I had called the day before asking if they could have a room ready early as we had a 2:00 concert we were going to 10 miles away and were coming from quite a ways away from a overnight campout/ family reunion. We wanted to at least have bathroom to shower. Got there at 10:30 and they said no one checked out early so come back at 1 or 2 pm... I noon so we had some time to get ready.. they said they would try.. as we left we drove all the way around the building and there were NO cars at all only 2 parked up by office that I assumed were manager and cleaning person.. came back at noon and 2 people were just sitting on floor in hallway. they jumped up and I asked if room ready they said almost.. ( no one ever was at front desk, laundry lady came out to talk to me at first). waited about 10 minuts and a guy came out of office and gave me key cards and said back door end of hall would be close to our room and to park out there... we did park... I had heavy cooler and luggage and was big step, hard to open door. Got into room and was pretty sad.. beds looked new but chair by table stained . Bath room door jams looked like poop smears... shower rod almost fell down.. towels and wash clothes were like sand paper and that thin and discolored. 2 out of 4 over sink lights burnt out. dirt in every corner.. NO WI FI in rooms and not steady by office as they said.. hardly any cell phone reception. Hallway smelled like urine, bugs in lights.

Motel 6 not at Williamsburg exit

If you book a room at the Motel 6 Williamsburg be sure to note: the exit for this motel is not at the Williamsburg exit (220) where you'll find the Tanger Outlet Mall. The Motel 6 is off the 225 exit for Amana Colonies. I was told by the front desk that while the property is technically considered Williamsburg, it is off the Amana Colonies exit. In fact, you won't see Williamsburg on the interstate exit sign for 225. It will say Cedar Rapids - Amana Colonies. You'll see the Motel 6 right off the expressway at that exit.

OK,... but just barley OK

Pros: Good location, and the low price.
Cons: Needs complete make-over......
Location: Great location if you want to spend time in Amana Colonies.
This Hotel is no longer a "Super 8"... it is a "Motel 6", a little confusing, but no big problem. The room was old, worn out, and used up, but clean and comfortable enough for a quick over-night... Only 5 or 6 cars in the lot when we left at 5:30am ... The price was right, and easy on/off I-80.

Wouldn't book here again

We booked this hotel for a place to sleep after the race at Newton. We were able to bring our luggage in and leave it on our way to the track, the only plus. We arrived after midnight and one of our hotel rooms smelled so bad it was impossible to sleep. Everything in the room felt wet. As the hotel was full we couldn't request another room. The front desk help in the evening was friendly. The woman in the morning did not even speak to us, she just glared over the desk at us. Not much available for the free breakfast.

Bit over priced for the lack of extras

Hotel was okay. Clean enough rooms. Breakfast was good. Showers were warm. With no pool, hot tub, play area it was over priced. I am sure they get away with it due to being on the Interstate. Met our basic needs nothing more or less.
