Very good one night stay

We stayed one night. The third floor room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.
If I could change three things it would be: 1. Improve the water pressure serving the shower. 2. Provide in-room coffee making items. (Free coffee was offered in the lobby, which was nice.)3. Clean up food service items in the hallways in a more timely manner. We saw trays and dirty dishes sitting outside rooms on our floor for 24 hours.
The restaurant is closed for remodeling, but a take-out breakfast is available in the lobby and there are plenty of food options in the neighborhood.
We live in Washington, DC, but chose to stay in a hotel the night of July 4 as a special treat. For the tourist, however, it would be a wonderful option. The hotel is within walking distance of the national Mall, attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The Smithsonian's Museum of American Art/National Portrait Gallery is right across the street.
