The room our kids had was great!

To be honest, we did not stay at the Hotel Palomar.We arrived on Saturday at 3:30 to learn that although I prepaid our reservation in August...3 months ago, the hotel overbooked. We did not have a room at the Palomar, fully booked, but instead we would be staying at the Madera, 5 blocks away. Normally not a problem, however, our children had flown in from Nevada..in order to celebrate our grandchild's 1st birthday...at Urbana..in the Hotel Palomar. They were staying at the Palomar..and the intent of our trip was to be with THEM. We did have a great dinner, great 1st Birthday celebration...but then grandparents were taxied to another hotel. I will say, management refunded our hotel room AND comp'd our room at The Madera...so while I appreciate all they did to make us whole...I was upset not to be in the same location with our family. The service was great and the person who had to deal with us were very professional and accommodating. Our stay at the Madera..also a Kimpton was great!

I am so sorry we could not accommodate you here at the Palomar. I know how hard that was especially to have to be separated from family. I am glad that overall you enjoyed your trip and enjoyed our sister property the Madera. Please feel free to reach out if you ever need anything in the future.
