"Amazing Location!"
We loved this hotel not for the rooms or the beautiful entry or the helpful and pleasant staff but for the morning and evening views over the canal looking at architectural wonders like Salute, the church built as an offering to god to stop the plague. We had our breakfast at the restaurant there on the canal, and finished each night at the outside bar. It was one of the nicest places I have spent time in. I would recommend it to everyone. If I return I will ask for a room overlooking the canal.

"Excellent hotel, great location"
This is our third stay in Venice and this was definitely our best hotel. We had a wonderful week (Sept. 16-23), and Palazzo Sant'Angelo was the perfect choice. Entire staff were wonderful without exception; cheerful, helpful, highly professional, and most important - offered practical advice. We arrived via water taxi from Marco Polo airport (worth the few extra euros) onto the hotel's private dock, registered and on to our room. It was for our 45th anniversary, and we were surprised with chilled champagne and fruit bowl. Room was a junior suite, which provided great accommodation. Hotel is right on a vaporetto stop, which made it that much easier to get around (tip - buy a pass for the length of your stay, whether 3 days, 7 days, etc., and then just don't worry about having to buy more tickets - you will more than break even). Location is also good for walking - very close to Campo San Stefano and Academia Bridge, easy strolling distance to La Fenice and also to Chiesa San Vidal for beautiful chamber orchestra concert, which we attended on the spur of the moment. We had dinner at 3 different restaurants all within easy walking distance, plus cafes for mid-day espresso or snacks. Alilaguna stops at the vaporetto stop just outside the hotel, which made for an easy, stress-free return to the airport at the end of our stay.

"Great service and location"
This hotel is only a few blocks away from St. Marks, the hub of Venice. The service was very good.  Front desk folks were very helpful in guiding us to the best activities.  Rooms are modest but clean and comfortable.  Overall, a very good experience.

"Decent Hotel Close to San Marco Square"
Hotel has old world charm, but there are (at least) two buildings, of which I was not informed when I made the reservation for me and my 18 year-old daughter. The building where we were housed was across the way from the main hotel, a little out of the way for two women travelers. Beds (i.e., mattresses) could have been a bit more comfortable. We did have a small balcony onto a canal.

"Budget hotel with a great location"
I liked this hotel and would probably stay here again. Room was clean. Breakfast area slightly less clean but acceptable. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The location is just outstanding, 2 bridges from the Arsenale Vaporetta stop and close walk to St. Mark's Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor was okay, but as reviews show there are some areas where updates could be made. For the price in this area, it's a great find.
