Horrible experience. Musty smell in room (like wet dirty socks). Hard bed springs. Big cockroach behind curtain. Called Front Desk. Was asked to hold on but she hung up. Waited 30 minutes. Walked up to the desk and was informed that she was the only one on duty with no maintenance. Went right back to my room and quickly exited. Desk agent left me a vm asking to change my room 30 mins AFTER I had left. Travelocity and hotel refused refund. Crazy.

Booked 2nd day through Travelosity.com but my confirmation wasn't sent to correct hotel email therefore delaying & complicating my check-in process. Required calling Travelocity customer service & it took nearly an hr to reach someone knowledgeable enough to understand the situation & resolve it. The initial Travelocity rep insisted on blaming the hotel's computer & phone systems when the issue was that Travelocity had incorrect Email info for sending booking info to the hotel so the hotel never received my booking. I missed my event & requested compensation & was rewarded a coupon. Otherwise my stay was pleasant overall. Suggest the hotel staffs front desk with TWO employees as the front desk employee was overwhelmed with handling my situation, about 6 add'l check-ins, answering phones & running errands to rooms to solve client complaints. It was a bit chaotic & unprofessional. Also suggest better training & informing the cleaning staff to honor the Do Not Disturb signs. I was disturbed twice before check-out (first two hrs prior & again 25 mins prior) by an employee requesting my dirty towels when she could have waited to collect them AFTER my check-out. It was rude, annoying & made me feel kicked out. Your customers have paid for the rights to use their rooms until 11AM & should NOT be disturbed AT ALL prior to this time if a sign is present. Lastly, at key drop off I wished to inform the front desk of the slow draining sink but no one was at the front desk for 10 mins.

Thanks for asking

Pros: It was old but clean. The breakfast satisfatory; waffles good.
Cons: The eating area was very tight; it was in the lobby and right by the front door entrance.
Location: very good location; shopping center and places to eat not far.
The smoke alarm went off for a few seconds in my room. There was a smell of something burning. I think it had something to do with the room next door. I never found out what it was, nor was the other room investigated as I was told it would be. There was no procedure or management in place to check things out or put me at ease. Our first night was very unpleasant. In addition, I wanted to leave a day early as our business was complete and we were told by the man at the front desk he could not cancel the 3rd day because we did not book the room with them; never heard of such a thing. The front desk customer service was not interested or helpful.

Great place!

Was wonderfully surprised by this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, lobby, halls and rooms were very clean and well kept. Breakfast was wonderful with many options from waffles, bacon, yogurt, frenchtoast, bagels, toast, burritos, cereal and more. We stayed for 3 days and each night they had special happenings in the lobby with free food for all. Warm cookies each afternoon was a nice treat. Hotel is not far from the Branch ave metro station for easy access into DC. Although we didn't use the exercise room, we did go look at it, very nice---free bottled water can be found in the exercise room when the 2 complimentary ones in your room run out.
