Thank you for the great review! To save energy, the room refrigerators are set to "off" when guests check out. Incoming guests need to turn the dial to the desired coldness level. Hope this helps for future stays!

Each room has a private patio w/comfortable lounge chairs and coffee table w/railing directly over the confluence of the Chewach & Methow rivers. We were met by the owner and found our room just right for chilling out. Got to get into the hot tub, relaxing and then back to the rooms patio, followed by movies in bed on the WIFI included TV stations. Avid bird watchers, we got to watch a pair of nesting bald eagles, a solitaire sandpiper bobbing around several resting female common megansers. That night the deer walked the far shoreline, while dancing swallows darted around our room & over the river. Following day, 5 male common megansers met the females on the rocky shoreline, while a kingfisher, and brewers blackbirds darted back & forth across the river. Town is just out the front door of the hotel with several really tasty restaurants and bakery steps away. Also, we stopped by the Shafer Museum across the street, really educational and worth time spent. Spent free time driving into the backwoods of Okanogan forests, saw our first western bluebird along with several perigine falcons. Both wife & I had a great visit, left relaxed and refreshed. Our 4th visit.

We were running late on checking in and the front desk called to make sure everything was okay. They made it super easy for us to get into the room since the office was closing. We stayed in room 19 on the third floor, this is the end unit on the east side. The views are amazing!! Eagles, ducks, geese, deer and many more animals were available to watch at all times. Falling asleep to the sound of the river is amazing. The rooms are super clean as well as the property. We will be staying here again!!

family wedding!

We just returned from a family wedding in Winthrop, staying at the Rio Vista. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our room looked over the river and was quiet, peaceful and very clean. What a great place to visit. We will stay there again and would recommend it to anyone!!

Outstanding Hotel !

We stayed for 11 days and the balcony view each morning was one of the best features. Also the local deer population are very abundant either backside by the river or just across the street in front . The staff were very friendly and helpful !
