I was surprised at such a high end hotel for DSM the staff was not willing to go the extra mile. While the lobby and common areas are very nice the bathroom in our room was extremely small. To the point if you are a larger person you will be unable to turn around without rubbing the glass shower or other wall, it was almost comical. Lastly, in my experience at a higher end hotel you call down and they will bring your car up for you if you have used valet. Pretty much a standard with hotels that offer such a service. I called the front desk and was told she was unwilling to do this and had no way to contact the valet staff. I know from being in the lobby the front door is maybe 30 feet from the front desk but she was unwilling to walk over and ask them to grab the car associated with my room number. When I got to the valet he was no where to be found and I had to go hunting asking other members of hotel staff for the valet, normally not a big deal but we were in a hurry to get to our next thing for the day. Overall, I would not stay again I have had much better experiences at other hotels down town DSM. I was disappointed as this hotel just went thought a huge remodel and has a lot of history in the DSM area.
