The property is located on the bank of the river with nice views of the water, wildlife & sunsets from the rooms & decks. There are chairs, tables, grills for using during your stay. The owner also makes beautiful jewelry that is displayed & sold in the office.

Old and dated property that smelled of mildew. No exhaust fan in the rest room, causing the room to be very humid all night.

This is an older renovated property on the banks of the Tuskaseegee River. We stayed in a king room, which was spacious and spotless; not modern, not fancy, but perfectly enjoyable. It was nice to have our coffee outside in the morning and watch the river wake up. A bit of road noise outside but not noticeable at all in the room. A/C worked great, as did fridge and microwave. We will absolutely stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised!

Pros: It is very clean!
Cons: Updated bedding (plush comforters, pillows) would really add a great touch. The bedding was clean and warm enough, but more modern bedding would add.
Location: This hotel is very close to everything in downtown Bryson City.
This hotel was very convenient to the train depot in Bryson City, NC, and on the river. It is an older hotel with very basic amenities; however, it was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Getting out onto the road from the hotel's steep driveway with limited visibility was a little tricky, especially since I have a straight drive, but it was manageable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Calm, small hotel right on the river.

Pros: Availability, simplicity, owners, sitting on the chairs overlooking the river watching fireflies drinking local brews. Relaxed owners.
Cons: The rooms are not sound proofed. If someone is up and leaving or up on the deck greeting people, you will hear it. The exit from driveway-exciting!
Location: Great location, easy to get anywhere. It's right on 19, a little jump to 74. within a mile of the downtown with restaurants and the scenic railroad.
We booked last minute and had few choices. Our preference was to trade some modernities for a relaxing evening view and natural area. This is a tiny old motel with about 10 rooms, most overlooking a deck along the river. You can fish and grill, bring your own everything. Not a good place for swimming or wading. The owners were great, relaxed, saw that we had forgotten coffee filters to make our own brand (instead of the packs provided) and left us some for the next day. Old facilities and small rooms, but clean, hard core water pressure in the shower, fridge and microwave in room, no smoking in rooms, but freedom on decks and grounds. Easy drive to rafting, kayaking, tubing and downtown Bryson City. Would stay again.

Very Clean, Nice People.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
Came in late, called to let them Know told us the room number it was open when we got in. The Rooms are very very clean right next to the river. Great Fishing. Just A great place to stay.
