Relaxing

Pros: The amenities at this hotel are very good and the resort was not crowded. The staff were helpful and the onsite bar and restaurant were good.
Cons: The owner of the property next to the resort liked to burn leaves and grass early in the morning (7-8 a.m.) The resort should buy him out and expand.
Location: There's a small village a short walk away with a grocery, shops and a number of places to eat. The resort has an activities desk on site.
The resort is great, short ride to the ferry, car rental across the street, activities desk at the resort. You can do as much or as little as you want, when you want. There's a small village a short walk away with a grocery, shops and a number of places to eat. The resort has a pool, cool tub, water sports and you can snorkel right from the beach or use the onsite dive shop if you want to scuba or do a little more snorkeling than right at you own beach. The resort has a bar and restaurant. My wife and I did not have a meal plan and we ate while we experienced the island while we were away from the resort. We did have the breakfast once, which was $40 per person U.S. dollars, a lot to offer, but in my opinion the price was too great. We ate at the bar 3 times and all 3 meals were good and not too bad on the budget. The staff is very friendly and provided us with a number of extras throughout our stay, bottle water, deserts, and a bottle of wine on our last night.

Nice resort on north shore Moorea

A great place to stay when visiting Moorea. The rooms are air conditioned and elegantly furnished. The grounds are well maintained - like a botanical garden. There is a large pool and two small beaches on either side, along with an open-air restaurant and lounge that look out onto the ocean. Though the resort does not have a large footprint, it never felt crowded, and there was an impressive array of activities (snorkeling, kayaks, diving, land excursions). Two other advantages to staying here. First, there is a nearby town (walkable) with banks/ATM, a grocery store (with fresh, cheap baguettes), a French bakery, and numerous local places to eat. Second, there is a great on-site dive operation Blue Water Moorea. They are a small operation which runs two-tank dives in the morning (for certified divers) and an introductory dive (inside the lagoon) in the afternoon. The former take groups of 4-6 divers, the introductory dives are for 1-2 persons. The owners/operators (Diane & Stephan) are very friendly and accommodating. A great experience whether you are a new or experienced diver.

Thanks to you for staying with us . In your comment you put very well the asset of the hotel . Sunshine for everybody and every hotels. The fact that we are not isolated is a big plus for us if people like to discover the island . The entire staff joins me to wish you to have the possibility of coming back in French Polynesia . Best sunset view and snorkeling under bungalow!

Pros: Views and great snorkeling spot!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Hotel was chalking distance to many shops, banks and eateries.
Beating myself for not booking at least 2 nights at this hotel. We had the best bungalow at the hotel with the greatest sunset view and great snorkeling right under the bungalow. Lots of interesting fish! The couples massage packages were insanely affordable with the monthly special discounts. Breakfast buffet included was delicious and had ample variety. The price deal on Travelocity was at least 40% off, so thanks for the deal of the century!

Loved out stay at the Moorea Pearl

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
We recently returned from a week at the Moorea Pearl Resort. We stayed in the over the water bungalows and lowed every minute we were there. We took advantage of the free snorkeling gear and the best snorkeling was right off our bungalows (409 and 410) We saw a large variety of fish, even an octopus and a turtle. We also enjoyed swimming and the Kayaks. We definitely would stay here again. The weather was wonderful. Only a couple of rain showers. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly and after the first couple of days knew which bungalow we were staying in. The maid service was excellent and the beds were very comfortable. There is a small fridge in the room to keep drinks and water in but it took a while to get it cold. We rented a car and traveled around the island. The only disadvantage is the food is a little pricey but was very good. The show on Wednesday and Saturday were very good. .There are many restaurants within a thirty minute drive. The ice cream at the patissiere was great! It helps to know some French. We even found a church close by to attend on Sunday. Each morning we walked around the resort and the flowers were beautiful. We read David Stanley's Moon Travel Guide to Tahiti and it was of great benefit as we traveled around the island. There is only one English TV channel and that is CNN. They do have one plug that is 110 volts. (They have a hair dryer but you have to hold down the button the whole time and it is not very powerful - I would bring your own) We truly enjoyed our stay and would go there again if given the opportunity.

Paradise with a view -

We spent a week at the Pearl, staying in a premium overwater bungalow, and honestly we can not say enough good things about the resort, the staff, and the location. The bungalows are somewhat dated but very clean and well kept. The private decks and amazing views of the Pacific made for a very peaceful vacation. We spent a ton of time at the pool, and the staff was very helpful in making sure that offsite activities were scheduled as we wished. The restaurant menu is somewhat limited; but the food options on the islands in general are not great. One certainly does not go to Tahiti for the food, so it is as we expected. There are shops and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk, but everything of interest on the island is within a 15-20 minute car or bus ride. We will be returning again very soon and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for the perfect escape.

Beautiful location

Totally satisfied except for dining experience. Gourmet restaurant was closed for renovation. Dined at main restaurant during first evening of stay. Had fish which was totally tasteless and dry. Breakfast buffet selection mediocre. Quality of baked goods, breakfast meats, etc was poor. For same cost, there is a good selection of nearby restaurants serving much better food.
