Good location but a few things need to be upgraded

Pros: The staff and location.
Cons: Housekeeping may need some attention, and a booklet giving info on hotel amenities, local restaurants, etc would have been helpful.
Location: As stated above, only about a 15 min or less walk to the Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House and other sights. Near transportation.
The staff were helpful and pleasant. They gave us an upgraded queen room( not sure what that really included but it was a nice size room and had a fridge, microwave, and dishes, etc.) because they said we were staying so long-6 nights. The reception area was clean but very sparse looking with limited seating if waiting for a cab, etc. Also, the room did not have a book giving local info, what the hotel had to offer, etc. This may be a company policy but I think we had one at our Travelodge in Hobart, Australia. The location was good and within 15 min or less walk from the Circular Quay and other interest points. The overall cleanliness of the room was good, but twice the room was not madeup until mid afternoon and the bed was sloppily made several times. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We would stay here again and recommend to friends, as overall was a good place to stay for the cost.

GREAT location in Sydney

Pros: I liked that it had real dishes and silverware for our use
Cons: Earlier check-in
Location: Like I said great location, walking distance to the area we chose
Staff was GREAT!! I had left a piece of luggage on shuttle and they were very helpful in getting it back

Don’t Stay Here

The hotel is under major renovation and there was jackhammering seven days a week from 8:00 - 18:00. The noise was very annoying. It appears this will continue for another year.

Beware of extra fees

Even though you agree to a price on Travel Agency, the hotel charges you an additional 1.5% when you pay for your room on your credit card. The bed was very hard, mainly because it's just a mattress on a piece of wood. The room was clean and it provided the basic necessities. The staff was friendly but couldn't provide much help when we called to see if there was a pizza place nearby. The wireless costs $* for 24 hours which isn't too bad, but the staff didn't know what their wireless network was called. The location was convienent to local sites.

Our Stay

The room was very comfortable, they allowed an early check in, which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Reception is up a flight of stairs and my Grandson and I had to lug the baggage up these stairs on arrival and departure - no-one helped. On arrival they took credit card details and held a $* deposit without my knowledge (of the deposit being immediately debited to my card). (The fees for 2 nights were only $*) Had I known I would have paid cash as I thought the details were just for incidentals, should I incur them. This was not explained to me - a lack of communication. The Motel is very well situated & within walking distance of most attractions. They don't have Digital TV, which surprised me

Great Service

The service that i recieved at the hotel was great. My wireless connection was not working properly and the hotel did everything in their power to have this rectified quickly. They switched my room and dhad a technician come out. In the end the trouble was that I was on the 9th floor and the wireless routers were on the 6th floor. The hotel reversed the charge until i was given a working broadband connection. I arrived at the hotel rather early and was concerned about being able to checkin but since there were empty room I was allowed to check in immediately. They have several free guides to Sydney and those were helpful as the staff did not seem to know much about the nightlife. The location was perfect I i spent most of my time walking around the city. It is also close to a subway station and the botanical gardens. There is also a free bus that loops the business district that stops around the corner from the hotel. My only complaint is that they need to invest in better mattresses if you have a back problem then their beds are not for you. It was extremely had and had no give or bounce to it.
