The price was too high for what we got. And $20.00 added to our bill for amenities. Sense when do 500.00 rooms charge for shampoo etc.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We certainly want all of our guests to perceive value in their stay. The amenity fee is packaged to avoid the typical a la carte fees charged by hotels, thus eliminating the feeling of being “nickel and dimed”. The guest room amenities inclusive of the water and snacks are complimentary, The amenity fee includes parking and valet, Wifi, house car service within 3 miles of the hotel and many other goods and services. Thank you for sharing your experience, it will help us find ways to provide a better understanding to our guests!

Favorite place to stay

Pros: Courtyard dining, close to Stanford University and shopping center Front desk service was excellent
Cons: On the second day of our stay, the bathroom smells like a public bathroom, this is after housekeeping service
Location: Downtown Palo Alto was very energizing, although parking was a challenged
This hotel has a lot of history for my husband and I. We come here at least once a year almost always during winter time. This is the first time we've been in summer. The hotel was remodeled and updated but kept it's traditional theme (which we like). The front desk service was excellent, our room was even upgraded!

Hotel clerk went out of his way to find me a Wall Street Journal even though it was 10:30 PM. Hotel is close to Stanford, the shopping center, and The Oasis.

Nice quaint throw back hotel

Simply stated my stay with wife and kids at this hotel was amazing. The staff was welcoming, the rooms were clean, and the entire environment was classy. Others mentioned a train nearby but it wasn't often and it never bothered me. I would love to stay here again.

The hotel was close to Stanford.

Pros: Everything !
Cons: ?
Location: There is shopping, close to freeways and very close to Stanford University.
The entire stay at this hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful, including the restaurant staff. The grounds were beautiful and the courtyard was relaxing.
