Decent for the price

We used this hotel for an overnight stay on our way to disney. Very close to st augustine and outlets. Tons of restaurants and gas stations. Staff super friendly, breakfast pretty good. Only complaints would be with the room. The door didn't close very well and light from the outside could be seen around the door edges. Also, the safety latch for the door was in need of repair. The screws holding the latch were pulling out from the door. Mild mold scent, although I didn't actually see any. Beds were decent. Hot water from the shower wasn't super hot, more like tepid. For all I spent it was an alright place for a quick overnight stay.

Very nice hotel for your money

The hotel is very nice, for a great price. You get a clean room, and a pretty good breakfast. Im not a fan of hotels that you have to go outside to get to your room, but this was still a really good hotel

Beware

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Needs remodeling. Take out the stinky carpet and leave the A/C on. Requested the sheets to be changed, they were not.
Location: It is on State Road 16, so you definitively need a car to get to the St. Augustine. They do offer a shuttle to the trolley depot.
We stayed during spring break and this hotel was the only option available. Upon arrival the receptionist had a migraine so she did her best to check us in. The room was horrible! when we opened the door, we were hit with a musty, strong odor. The air conditioning was turned off which I believe exacerbated the odor. We could tell all the rooms were in the same condition because the rooms next to ours were left with the doors opened and the A/C off (this was a non-smoking room, one can only imagine the smoking ones). We knew we would not be able to find another hotel during this season, so we had to stay. The "hot" breakfast offered is basically microwaved from a box or pastries on a cellophane.

Late notice Christmas vacation

Pros: Staff and breakfast.
Cons: As in most Florida motel rooms there was a faint musty smell in the room.
Location: Good location if you are into shopping at the outlet malls, right down the street. St. Augustine itself is about ten minutes away.
This motel was part of a package deal which included a flight, it was a last-minute Christmas vacation decision. Certainly not bad for the cost. Staff is friendly with clean accomodations, nice breakfast included with cost.

The smell kept us out of the room

Pros: The front office staff was friendly. It's close to the outlet mall.
Cons: The cleanliness of the rooms. Seriously. The smell gave me a headache.
We should have found somewhere else when the first thing they told us upon arriving was that the phone in the room didn't work. We typically use our cell phones, but it didn't make me feel great about their concern for customer service. When we actually opened the door to the room it smelled so badly of mildew that I couldn't even go in until we left the door open with the AC running full blast for a good bit. We were there two days and I never did get rid of the smell. We just stayed out of the room until we had to go back to get the kids to bed. There was something all over the wall by the toilet in the bathroom, which is disgusting. The pool was much smaller than I anticipated from the pictures, which made it incredibly difficult for us to stay away from the smokers who sat around the pool lighting up. We won't ever stay again. It is absolutely worth another $20 a night to stay at one of the nicer places around the corner. I read the reviews and thought we would be happy enough for just a couple nights away. Pay the extra money.

Good choice for me.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but had several choices. Room was clean, mattress a little harder than I like, but still slept well.

Hotel Staff was nice!!!

Room was less than desirable. Mold and dust clinging to ceiling and dirt behind night stand was very notable when utilizing the outlet. It appears they only surface clean the rooms. I travel frequently up in that area and most likely would not stay there again.
