Come on people.

TVs did not work. Breakfast is two or three levels of quality below Denny's, and we rate Denny's as a 2. The breakfast items must be scooped out of vats, trucked in and warmed up. This is a $59 dollar experience, for your hard earned money.

Older, but meets needs

Posted Jul 8, 2017 on Hotels
When we first arrived in the room, I was a little hesitant because this hotel is on the older side and could use a little updating; however, after staying for three nights, I can honestly say that everything you need is available. The bathroom is a little small, but has a sink/vanity area right outside the bathroom so it works for 2 people to have their own areas for their "stuff." And it was very quiet inside the rooms, even though we were there on the 4th of July. The front-desk staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is "cook to order" and pretty good. A step up from a continental breakfast. For the price and comparing to other hotels in the area, this was a pleasant surprise.

Quiet place well presented

Posted Jul 7, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: The outside decor. The lobby. The associated restaurant for a nice breakfast. The staff.
Just 3 blocks off Lake Tahoe Blvd and SO nice and peaceful vs a casino environment. Well present and made me feel like I was on a quiet vacation in the forest, as it should be here. A walk up to the Blvd for dinner and you're in a whole different world with lots of people and noise. You'll be happy you're coming back here instead of walking into a casino to get to your room.

Ideal stopover if touring

Posted Jul 6, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: Friendly staff and restaurant
Location: South Lake Tahoe Main Street with casinos - far enough for no noise, and the beach
We stayed for 1 night at the Station House Inn during our tour of California. The hotel was fine for our stay and the breakfast was very good and complimentary in the onsite restaurant LewMarNels. The staff were very friendly and helpful in this oasis of calm compared with South Lake Tahoe Main Street some 2-3 blocks away, which can best be described as meyhem and somewhat tacky. The hotel provide a free pass to Lake Tahoe beach and there is a outdoor swimming pool on site. The room was comfortable and clean, although slightly on the basic side. We would recommend the hotel - and especially the restaurant - if one needs to stay in the area.
