Don't Go There! Turn Around & Get Out a Town

Pros: Nothing, not even worth the "low" rate.
Cons: Everything!
Location: Close to wild FL sanctuary at Corkscrew Swamp. And there's great food 3-4 blocks west at place called Log Cabin. Don't be put off by garish lights.
OMG. Where to start? I travel a lot & on a tight budget, no frills or luxuries. This is the most poorly constructed, maintained, rundown & managed place I've ever come across. No furnishings beyond beds, a small table, one chair, tiny fridge (no freezer), small elderly microwave. Uhmm, where do I hang clothes, put underwear, sit to take off/put on shoes, place my luggage, hang a towel, place toiletries? Got locked IN room by poorly installed door latch; couldn't turn on bedside lamp to phone offiice because there IS NO phone or lamp on the bedside stand which has no front on drawer. Oh, they do have a pool .. wonder why no one was using it on such a nice warm day? Had requested handicap accessible bathroom but they DON'T HAVE ANY! (That didn't stop them from accepting my reservation.) So of course there wern't even any grab bars in their lovely slippery tile shower. And short little me could barely reach faucets, or into sink that perches atop the small "vanity?" which is not partitioned from room. Are you beginning to get the picture of a weekend from hell? I'm ashamed of Travelocity for listing this place. I trusted them from many good experiences.
