Enjoyed the stay due to the cofortable bed, attractive room and good staff.
Staff was professional and appropriatley small town welcoming and genuinly friendly as representative of the town we were visiting. They attentivly checked to make sure our room was satisfactory and welcomed any requests, also backing it up with propt attention.

Great place to stay right on the hill!
Pros:Free Internet, Quiet, new facility, fitness center, close to lifts
The perfect location for skiing at Mt. Crested Butte. It's about 150 yards from the elevator exit (onto the Courtyard) to the main lifts (Silver Queen and Red Lady) with no roads to cross. As you make the walk, you will pass the lift ticket office, the complimentary ski storage, and several shops where you can buy any gear you forgot at home. There are also several restaurants in easy walking distance. At end of day, you can ski to the ski storage and walk about 50 yards to the hotel's courtyard elevator - easy as it gets without being strictly ski in/out.
This is a very new facility so the room with kitchenette was great but, more importantly, the staff kept things very clean and were very responsive to requests. Fitness center was excellent and pool was fun for the kids. Parking was easy though, since its $20/day and you likely aren't driving anywhere except to and from the airport (free shuttles into town are 30 yards from the hotel's courtyard entrance), you may want to skip a car and use the airport shuttle (not cheap but cheaper than car rental and parking). it was also very quiet, especially after ~7 pm. The only minor drawback was that the bed was very soft for our taste. Just a matter of preference though.
On the whole, one of the best hotels our family has stayed at in the past five years and the best one in a ski town by far.

New but needs work
Pros:Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Cons:uncomfortable mattress, low shower water pressure, small tv
Nice rooms, but not quite fully cooked. Meaning: very poor shower pressure. Lock on bathroom door did not work. Mattress definitely not comfortable. no restaurant inside the hotel. No spa inside the hotel (but nearby) for that post ski-massage. small 27in TV is too small.
The good: nice, but small gym. Good sauna, and jacuzzi + warm pool. nice size guest room. very nice amount of closet space with safe.
convenient location, only about 2 minutes from the slopes from its front door.

Nice but watch the add on charges
Nicely appointed King room with large bathroom area, refrigerator but no flat screen digital TV with HD. Very quiet, nice towels and bathrobes. Very top notch room. Hostess was nice but front desk seems disorganized. Thought we called down to add an extra day. Nope, didn't happen.
However, what started out to be a $* per night off peak season room ballooned to over $* per night with parking and resort fee and taxes of all sorts. Something web doesn't know or tell you about. web told me all in it would be $* and would be charged to my card immediately. Didn't happen. It wasn't charged until checkout when all the fees were added in.
If you book, just get it in writing what the all in cost will be to avoid disappointment like I experienced.

The Lodge at Mountaineer Squre, Mt Crested Butte, Colorado
We had reserved a king room. When we got there we were given a king suite, a one bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen upit. Really enjoyed the balcony. Everything was so convenient with restaurants and the town bus just steps away. The staff was super friendly and ready to assist with any of our needs. Can't wait to go back.
Have fun with onsite winter activities, including downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding and in warmer months, enjoy horseback riding and mountain biking. Getting to the slopes is a breeze with this mountain lodge's complimentary ski shuttle. Lodge at Mountaineer Square helps provide the perfect winter holiday with ski storage, skiing lessons, and ski passes. When the sun goes down, sip après-ski drinks in one of the lodge's 2 bars/lounges. There's a coffee shop/cafe on site. Parking is available for a fee. Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this 3.5-star Crested Butte lodge.
