The good:
The location is great, it's right near the docks and bus transportation drop-off and Charles Darwin street is a couple blocks away.
The clerk at the front spoke English really well and was able to give us advice and help us with suggestions about food and tours.
A lot of movies played on TV and we were able to watch Adam Sandler movies in Spanish. That's way better than just watching news I can't understand.
The bad:
Pretty sure there were blood stains on the blanket when we got there. Not a lot of blood, but some. They were swapped out.
The shower drains slowly. There were sugar ants on the fridge (they're the little guys that don't bite, but still).
Overall:
For a hostel, I recommend this place. It's not luxury or a hotel but definitely a good place to stay.
Great location (quick walk to ferry dock). Staff was friendly and helpful. A/C worked great. Free filtered water always a nice benefit. They stored our luggage for a few hours too.
Hotel is in convenient location for walking around the cute port town. Room was huge and had view down to water. Front desk has very limited hours and no one was there at 8:30am when we needed to leave for the airport so we just left the key in the room door. The front desk attendant was very friendly but couldn’t get their credit card machine to work so ended up paying cash for the hotel at checkin.
Great location - easy walk to the local port that is used to travel to other islands (Isabella and San Cristobal)
Big instead of twin beds
Friendly staff
Stefanie was absolutely AMAZING. This hotel is completely spotless, AC worked amazingly, the bathroom was clean and theres different levels of hot water so you can set it to exactly how you want it. Bed was great, room came with a mini fridge to keep our water cold. The highlight of this hotel is definitely the customer service, especially Stefanie. We stopped by Santa Cruz on the way to San Cristobal 2 days after we had stayed at the hotel, and she was so kind and willing to hold our bags for us while we explored for a few hours, as well as let us use a bathroom for changing. She was incredible and made the experience the best, she provided suggestions and recommendations for food, and she was just so kind. This was the best hotel we stayed at in the galapagos by FAR.
