Very good experience

The room, at less than $* a night, was a bargain in Barcelona. Indeed, nothing else in Barcelona was a bargain. The room was clean, comfortable and Internet, although it was slow wireless. Staff was helpful. Hotel was about a short block from the metro and the line ended at Placa Catalunya, the head of Las Ramlas and adjacent to the Barrio Gotic . Not a wide variety of dining places near the hotel, we generally ate elsewhere, but that was fine as we saw large parts of the city. Watch out for pickpockets in Barcelona -- we had two incidents, one on the subway and one walking near Placa Espanya. Both involved multiple individuals who try to distract or restrain your movement while the others try to pilfer anything not attached.
