Great boutique hotel in downtown
We had a great time at Drift in room 31B from Wednesday - Friday. Jose at the bar was amazing, had great recommendations, and makes delicious drinks. Drift is walking distance to everything you could want or need in San Jose del Cabo. Thanks!

Loved the actual hotel. The rooms are large and clean, bed comfortable. Well located in SanJose, with great restaurants and bars nearby. Just beware of the noise factor at night from local club. I stayed on a Friday night, so perhaps only the weekend is an issue - I don't know..Earplugs by the side of the bed were my first clue..

Great concept, minimalist in nature. Would have loved to have had a refrigerator on the room though

This property is amazing! If you want to stay in downtown then this is the spot. Brand new, modern, minimalist. Great bed, quality linens. Know that you are in party central when you book - it is not the hotels fault, it is what happens in downtown no matter where you stay. The staff and service go above and beyond. We will be back for sure!

If you want a good nights sleep AVOID this place
I had chosen this location because I needed a king size bed (my husband is 6’5”). When I arrived we were given a room with a full size mattress.(not even a queen!). I complained twice and at 10:30 PM I was told they had a room ready! We were already in bed so we didn’t change rooms. But that wasn’t the worse thing. Downstairs at the outdoor bar the music was blasting. I asked how long this would go on and they said until midnight. By 1 AM it was still going full swing. Our room came with earplugs but that didn’t helped as the music was incredibly loud. No room there would have escaped the noise. The next morning when we checked out we spoke to the manger who said she would provide us a discount for the wrong room but we never heard back nor have we received any compensation. If you are looking for a good nights rest AVOID this place.

The property is great, but the image they use for the “king drift room” is nothing like the actual room. It’s cute, modern and boutique-y but MUCH smaller—Just a bed, and bathroom. Nothing else, not even a place to hang clothes.

Hidden gem
Love the location of Drift so much. It is 30 minutes away from the touristy Cabo area and only a 7-minute drive from a whole stretch of beaches. I was able to walk for a couple of minutes and ended up in the Art District, too. A quick Google search informed me that there was an Art District tour that I could join so I didn't think twice and booked in the activity. The walls and mango trees that lined the property gave the whole place a very safe and secluded feeling. The staff on-site also mentioned that I could pick mangoes off the trees to enjoy so I did not hesitate. Can't wait to book again!

Most Charming Hotel in Cabo
Charming, sophisticated and authentic. This gem in the heart of San Jose del Cabo is a revelation. From the moment we set foot on site, we were blown away by the world class design and serenity of this urban oasis. Not to mention the vibrant center courtyard mezcal bar and meeting amazing locals and foreign travelers alike. We plan to be back...every year.
