They charge you a hidden fee of $36 per day that they do not disclose to you upon arrival. When you ask them about the charge they tell you very calmly that it is what it is and you should resolve it with your bank or booking agent. The front desk is very unpolite and will hang up the phone even if you are talking. Also, they didn't have hot water in the room I stayed and and didn't give me another room until the next day and still charged me for that day. Very bad service and stealing money from you.

When I arrived I had to charge my card onsite to check in. The hotel computers shut down and they charged me twice and I ended up having to call my bank to dispute one of the two charges. The room was also muggy and didn't smell good. There was grime and crusty dirt all over the bathroom sink. For the price point I expected a better experience. The staff was very polite and kind though.

This property fulfilled our needs during our short stay in San Francisco. However, I would seek alternate accommodations if I were to visit San Francisco again. This hotel is about a 45-60 minute walk to Fisherman’s Wharf, which is where you most likely want to spend most of your time as a tourist. During our stay, there was a large amount of homeless people situated right outside of the hotel, asking us for money several times in passing. This was very uncomfortable. In addition, the amount of noise within the middle of the night and early morning was unbearable. If you plan to stay here, definitely pack ear plugs because you will need it to sleep through the night. The walls are paper thin, so you will hear everything happening outside of your room. You will also hear construction (banging metal) outside your window, cars and trucks beeping and honking, and garbage picking up trash very early in the morning. As for the hotel room itself, it appeared to be clean. However, the furniture appeared to be old and dingy. The room also had a musky (old carpet) smell to it. Overall, I would probably splurge and spend a little more for a nicer facility in the future.

Small hotel, good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Our upgraded room to a suite was enjoyable and quite comfortable...but could maybe have accommodated a king bed instead of a queen.

The room was underwhelming compared to the gallery. However it was really clean which was nice. The location is nice in Downtown SF, sometimes felt unsafe because of outside conditions.

The Warwick is in a great location, a block away from Union sq, and it looks and feels historic, while having a remodeled bath. Really had a good vibe for me. The bar and restaurant are ok but there are so many other options in this area, we just didn't spend much time on property. The room is surprisingly big for an older property and remodeled nicely. Best of all is the staff, very friendly and helpful, even guiding us to park the car at the corner lot, saving us $30 a night in parking fees! It was a great long weekend stay in the city.
