Most Comfortable Hotel Bed I Have Ever Slept In

Pros: Great staff, spacious rooms, good location, and fantastic, comfortable bed!
Cons: Give guests time to rest and settle in before approaching them about the time share opportunity. We were tired from traveling all day it was hard to g
Location: Union Square, MUNI bus stops, Cable Car stops, Chinatown, numerous places to eat.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Donatello. The rooms are spacious and are equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave and dishes. The staff was wonderful and helpful and housekeeping did a great job. Three days in a row, housekeeping failed to provide wash clothes when they brought clean towels. THE ONLY reason I mention this is to relate that each time we called Guest Services to request wash clothes, they were brought to us within minutes. Coffee and tea are provided on the Club Level between 6:30am-10:30pm. Each morning I would get coffee and chat with the Concierge. I regret that I failed to get her name because she was delightful - I know she was from the Philippines because she mentioned it during one of our morning talks. She gave great advice about what not to miss when visiting the city. If you stay at the Donatello, be sure to get her insights about things to do. I found out that the Donatello is a time share property and they let 'non-time share owners' book rooms when there is space. If given an opportunity to stay at this great property, it is worth doing so. Do be alerted that you may offered the opportunity to hear a sales pitch regarding time share opportunities.

My stay at the Donatello.

Pros: Travelocity
Cons: Towels
Location: The hotel was near Union Square. I did not go to San Fran to shop the area was not prime for me. There were a lot of aggressive homeless in the area.
Checked in to a hard sale by a Wyndham vacation representative. Our flight from NYC was delayed, we were tired and she would not let go. I would not even consider going, it was to much. All in all the room was comfortable, upgrading the towels would be a bonus. I don't think I would return, it wasn't bad it was just okay.

Union Square location for Holiday Experience

Exactly what I wanted for my family for a Christmas vacation! Located a short distance from Union Square put us in the heart of the holiday excitement with theaters, ice skating, shopping, music, and fabulous restaurants. The hotel is very nice, the staff accommodating and friendly and the large room had a kitchenette which is a huge plus when traveling with kids. Highly recommend this hotel!

Great location

Pros: The concierge, Ramon was wonderful. He gave us great tips on things to see, where to eat and offered us assistance with anything we wished.
Location: A fun and colorful walk through Chinatown to Fisherman's Wharf. Make sure to pack good walking shoes!
The hotel was in a good location. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

Satisfying Stay

Stayed here 3 nights first week of March 2016. The hotel is an entirely satisfying and less expensive option than the other big chain hotels (Westin, Marriott) surrounding the Union Square area. Our room was nicely appointed with all the required conveniences. The sofa bed was more comfortable than many others I've tried to sleep on. We did not try the bar/restaurant but it seemed busy for happy hour. From the 10th floor, we heard no noise from the street or the often mentioned nightclub on Mason St. We took Bart to and from the airport, then walked the three blocks from the Powell St stop to the hotel...five minutes at most. If you don't demand the ultimate in amenities, and you don't want to shell out top dollar for a famous chain brand, this is a great option. Would definitely stay again without hesitation.
