Da Vinci Villa

The Da Vinci Villa was a decent place to stay. It is a "traditional" hotel with some upgrades. It's within walking distance of all of the tourist attractions.

Good location

Hotel was nice & clean in a good location. They had a nice breakfast that was free. The staff were very nice. If you're looking for a fancy hotel with a lot of amenities, this isn't it. If you are looking for a clean room, hot shower in a good location to everything, this is the place.

Pros: The he location was great, walking distance to the piers and Marina area.

not a bad deal

Cons: not having torn sheets ..ever.. that makes people think two things did they change them and if they did do they pay attention. the very squeaky bed.
SO we were greeted at front desk with a very nice young lady who was enthusiastic about us being a guest that is always nice, You do have to wind around the different levels a little from parking no biggie to get to the rooms. The room was clean. However the bed sheets were torn, odd. The breakfast was good nothing to write home about but nice to have, the pool area nice and clean and water was heated a plus. But check out is 12 noon we were locked out at 11 am? had to find a housekeeper to reopen door. that was very rude

Nice hotel...

We are a family of 4 that stayed in a room with 2 double beds. The rooms are a little outdated. The bathroom was tiny and just had a small pedestal sink with nowhere to put your bathroom toiletry items. The beds and pillows were comfy. The breakfast was good and the heated pool was nice. The Dim Sum restaurant next to the hotel is just okay. Fishersman's Wharf is walkable, just bring good shoes. I highly recommend the Big Bus Tour and you can buy tickets at the front desk. Overall, this was a nice hotel.

Pleased with stay but would.........

Pros: The friendly, and helpful staff. Location was good.
Cons: Have someone go through a check list of the room before bringing someone to it. Make sure everything works properly.
Location: Location is good. A walking distance to most interesting things in San Francisco. Bus stop is close by.
We were met with a very nice and positive receptionist. We were given a key and told the room number. The like next time that someone would take us to the room and show us all the room gadgets, etc. Many travelers do not know how to use some of the things in the room. Someone could have taken two minutes to show us the room amenities and how to use them. Several things like the heat, and a some lights in the room did not work right from the start, and I had to contact the office. Yes, the office sent someone to try to fix it immediately, but in both cases it was something that has to be done till after we checked out. Heater was brought and was good. I would also not want to have a room above the breakfast room again because the music woke me up early in the morning as the workers were preparing the food. I mentioned it to the staff. It was not heard the next day, but the following day, I was woken up by it again. No one really needs to listen to music during breakfast. I bet it wakes up everyone, every day in the rooms above. I would recommend a few national stations (ABC,CBS,NBC). I would recommend the hotel to friends, but would recommend them to make sure they have someone to show them the room first.

this place sucks

Pros: nothing really
Cons: room smell, room request to guaranteed, continental breakfast sucks,
Location: its ok
This place is really bad, they gave me a 2 queen bed room and not the king bed that I Requested. They don't guaranty your room request. You would think that at 300 bucks a night after taxes and fees that shouldn't be a issue. The room and hallways smell old and damp, like wet dog. I had to use my car air freshener to stop the nasty smell in my room. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors voices and footsteps. continental breakfast not good at all.

Will not go back.

Pros: Close to bus line.
Cons: Close down!
Location: Not much.
Room was like a prison cell without the bars. Ice machine did not work one day, had to call desk to get room made up one day. Business center locked up. Elevator so slow most people walked up the stairs. No air conditioning and it was 90 degrees.
