This hotel is right on the harbor and walking distance from the Star of India and the Midway. It was less money than other downtown hotels. The restaurant is apparently being redone, so the only place to eat in the hotel was a cafe. They did have room service, which we did not use. We did get dessert at the cafe and enjoyed it. The room was clean and comfortable. Our keys turned off before we checked out, so when we got back after walking to a nearby restaurant for breakfast, we could not get into our room. There was a hotel staff member nearby who was very helpful. she did not want to just let us into the room (good for security) so she tried calling the front desk to get confirmation. It took a long time before we were let into the room. We we checked out a little while later, we let the front desk know. It was actually a pretty big inconvenience, if we had had a plane to catch, the amount of time it took to get back in the room could have been disastrous. It would have been nice if the front desk offered some compensation. I mentioned that, and he apologized again, but did not offer anything.
