ripped off for outrageous parking fees etc

Pros: clean classic, lovely, but not honest about fees on line
Cons: stop ripping people off for parking fees.
Location: same corporate schlock.
I was ripped off for outrageous parking and extra fees.

Worn Out

Pros: Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Charlies BBQ restaurant is good, try their pulled BBQ chicken salad w/ avocado, blu cheese, pecans.
Cons: Refurbish the rooms,
Location: Located near Old Town and Mission Valley Mall is in walking distance.
The portion of the hotel where I was placed is dated and in need of refurbishment. Straight out of 1975, jalousie windows which do not fully close, threadbare carpet, worn tiles, cracked and patched sink. A/C was minimally effective, while outdoor temperatures were in the 70's.

Not what was advertised

Pros: The grounds were very nicely maintained and I liked the security gate for incoming and outgoing guests.
Cons: I think you can post accurate pictures of the rooms so a fully informed decision can be made before booking.
Location: It is in a good location being adjacent to the Fashion Valley Mall and just down the road from good restaurants and the freeway.
The pictures shown on the website when I booked the room were very nice but that is not where we stayed. We were in a room in one of the outlying buildings. It was an old building and the beds were very uncomfortable. I should have read the reviews before I booked the room instead of looking at what was pictured. Also I could not get a good signal with the wifi they provided.

Room Smelled musty, reminded me of Grandma's house

Pros: Very clean grounds outside room.
Cons: Travelocity customers should get a decent room for the price paid.
Location: Good location.
Very musty funky smelling room! I thought I stepped into the 80's when I entered the room. It had a gold chandelier, flowered wallpaper and a very oversized armoire by the front door. I called the resort supervisor about my displeasure and she said they put the Travelocity bookings in the older part of the hotel. She said I could have requested an upgrade but that would have been an additional fee. Why would I book through Travelocity only to pay what the hotel usually charges for a room? Travelocity customers are given the rundown dated rooms at this resort.

Not worth the money

I found the front desk staff at check in not accommodating or willing to give options. the room was very old and the mattress was hard as a rock. While the grounds appear to be nice the rooms certainly are not. I will definitely be staying elsewhere next time. Cheaper is definitely not better next time I am paying more and staying at a hotel that I have actually heard of.

Hidden charges

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: -
Hotel old, no parking, dirty looking. charged $80.00 on top of what I had already paid. 19.00 x 2 for parking my rental car. Resort fee even though I only slept there.

Interesting Adventure

Pros: The staff and location.
When I booked our room I knew that the Hotel was doing renovations so I expected that. We arrived at the hotel extremely late due to the Cajon fires and many road closures. (4 hour trip turned into 10 hours) The staff was very friendly each time that I called to let them know we were still traveling. When we finally arrived we were give a room that was still under construction, I contacted the front desk and they moved us to a new room. The second room was nice and clean. Unfortunately we were awaken after being asleep 3 hours by the jackhammers and construction at 9 am two floors above us. Staff was very nice and helpful. Should be really nice once the renovations have been completed. It was in a great location. Overall our stay was good.

Decent and convenient

It would have been nice if there had been some mention of the resort fee of $15 and $19 per night for parking. Kind of a shocker after all the taxes. $75 per night cost $134!
