Not what you would expect at a Hyatt.

Posted Aug 4, 2016
Pros: The staff was friendly, and the manager did refund my resort fees and one night of our stay.
Cons: Replace the outdated AC in the building, and clean the rooms well.
Location: Plenty to do at Mission Bay. We rented Kayaks and paddled around the bay. Plenty to do in San Diego.
We made a reservation online through Travelocity for the Hyatt Regency, Mission Bay, San Diego, CA. The picture showed a beautiful tall building by a great pool, with a view of the bay. What we got when we arrived was "Bay 2", an old dilapidated 2 story building on the other side of the pool. We called it the Hyatt slum. For about $300 per night (with resort fees) we got two queen beds, a room that smelled like mothballs/mildew, dusty, dirty carpet, mold growing in the grout of the tiles on the floor, walls, and sinks in the bathroom, and an AC unit that was ancient, extremely loud, and did nothing to remove moisture from the room. This was our final stop on a two week vacation around the Western United States. We had great hotel experiences for less money everywhere else we stayed, and all included a good breakfast. Not the case here. While there was a great outdoor pool with water slides, a pool-side bar, and friendly staff, the room left much to be desired. If you want to spend the day partying by the pool, spending a lot of cash on food and drinks, and just need a room to pass out in after you are drunk (the only way to fall asleep with the AC running), then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Could be better!

We made a reservation for an ocean view, not ocean side room! By its virtue, it means to have the view of the ocean not be blocked by structures on the 4th floor!

Would definitely stay here again! Great family hotel, friendly employees, close to everything on the marina. Loved it!

Pros: The location
The hotel is a kid friendly place. I would not recommend for couples. The rooms are very "tired" and worn out. Our sofa was badly stained and dirty looking. The balcony was very dusty and not inviting, we didn't use it at all. For families with messy little kids it is ideal

Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Beautiful property. If you are visiting local attractions see the concierge for discounted tickets and tips.

수영장이 좋았습니다

수영장이 좋아서 아이들과 여행하기에 좋습니다. 게다가 올드타운과도 가까워서 이동도 편하고 수영장에서 아이들을위한 이벤트가 많아서 좋았습니다

Really liked the hotel only issue we had which almost completely ruined us being able to get home was the hotel pretty authorized over 500 in charges to our debit card. They said it was an error and apologized and reversed it but off course we have to wait 3-5 business days before funds actually go back on our card. If it wasn't for the fact the we have savings we could transfer from we would not have had gas or food money to make it back home.
