They just dont care - corporate culture probleme

I stayed at the Humphrey's from august 11th to the 14th. It was the 3 last nights of a month long trip in California. We were expecting a calm, cozy and relaxing experience. It was a very unsatisfying and stressful experience.
First, the service was awful. The speed of the Internet connection was unusually slow. As an answer I got : "I never had a complaint about that before", then "what do you want me to do, I'm not a computer engineer". and "listen buddy, it's not my fault if the internet is slow". As a fifty year old man, I'm not use to be called "buddy" by a teenager. As a frequent traveler, I'm not use to be so badly served.
The night after, what was not my surprise to see that there was a outside charity reception right in front of my room. Loud music, speeches and people drinking and eating in front of my room from 4 pm to 11 pm. A security agent even blocked my wife heading to the pool to get our two children. He told her she couldn’t cross the hotel grounds because this was a private event. A nightmare for me and my family. Our plan was to relax in the garden around the pool at the end of our trip in California but because of the noise we had to leave the hotel for the rest of the day!
And this, without mentioning the fact that your hotel is the only one we went to where we had to pay for the internet (very slow by the way) the parking and that ad no complementary breakfast.
