Great bay view from the hotel.

False Advertising Resort and Spa

We arrived and were told the hotel was "recently" forced to close the pool & hot tub by the city due to needed renovations. No mention of it on website or travelocity. Couldn't contact us b/c didn't have our email or #. Offered to pay our taxi bill to go to "sister" hotel's pool 20 min away. 3 rooms later, we stayed. Next day we were told the Spa didn't have our appointments b/c they booked us incorrectly the day before. Said they tried to call us but since we didn't answer (we were on a plane!), charged us the full fees for services we didn't receive. Said they tried to accommodate us later in the day with a 3 min heads up call that they had availability. By that time we had talked to the manager of hotel, canceled our res through Travelocity were refunded 2 of the 3 nights and transferred to the "sister" hotel. Aweful start to the trip, but it ended better!

horrible first impression! And continues...

Valet greeted us telling us they were full and couldn't take our car, requested early check in, was told room wasn't gonna be ready till 4 so we went to meet friends for lunch, 5mins after we left property our room was magically ready, was told we need to wear wrist bands all weekend long like we were at a festival to use hotel facilities, not a single person on property was wearing them... Overall frustrating experience on what could have been a great relaxing holiday weekend. Ended up spending the majority of our time with friends at the Sheraton, and everything was better there.

The holiday weekend was certainly a busy one for us, and we're sorry to hear this caused frustration. While we do our best to accommodate early check-in requests, this is contingent on availability, and we apologize for any miscommunication regarding your room's preparedness. We'd love to share a more welcoming return and hope you'll consider us again the next time you're in the city.

Pros: Great location. Great for taking walks.
Cons: They need vending machines.
Location: Close to SeaWorld
Nice, clean room, quiet hotel. The heated pool kept my kids entertained

Old run down motel

Similar to other reviewers. Not worth the price. Hotel is really old. Drywall tape peeling off ceiling. Loud AC window unit. View of the bay included eye level to People living in their cars and rvs along a busy road. Shower leaks and soaks the entire bathroom floor. Front door barely closed and made us feel unsafe. It's not a resort. It's a motel with a pool along a marina. I should have listened to the poor reviews and stayed away.

Great view of the Marina

Pros: Marina view and the food
Location: Good location, lots of nearby restaurants, bars and shops.
I would definitely recommend the Marina view, especially from the 2nd or 3rd floor. Nice to watch the sun rise. The rooms are really small but they are comfortable. Really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the marina. We ate breakfast two days in the restaurant and it was fantastic. Nice little beach with firepits for the evenings. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

disregard outdated or malicious reviews

I took a risk and booked this hotel despite the disparaging reviews and am so glad that i did. The hotel and room that i had (Bay view, King room) was wonderful and flawless. Absolutely NO odors, dirtiness, the room was very obviously renovated recently, the bathrooms were all new and the room looked exactly like in the hotel's pictures. The service and staff was also first rate. I have no idea how this hotel was in the past but as of 10/21/13 it is wonderful and I have to say that the location is phenomenal and the price extremely reasonable.

With a little TLC this could be a Diamond!!

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
It is a nice hotel in a good location. The room could have been a little cleaner and we got no maid service on the second day. They did not warn us about starting construction in the lobby on our second day. A little noisy with all the kids. Very friendly staff and a really nice heated pool! Nice breakfast but a little $$

Would never stay here again!

Cons: Noisy, dirty
The first day we checked in we were double charged (I prepaid on Travelocity) they charged my account almost $400. The room smelled so bad like mold and mildew we couldn't sleep. Called down to the front desk and was on hold for 11 minutes. We walked down to the front deal to complain about the room and see about switching up to a different room that didn't smell. The manager was nice to switch us to another room. It was better but overall the whole place had a bad oder. I think it's just and old hotel and it wasn't very great. I felt very uncomfortable staying there I would not recommend this place to anyone nor would I stay again! I payed too much money for it to be that bad.
