Not the best place to stay

Needs up grades there was and old tube t.v. in my room and no microwave had to ask for more toilet paper because they only give you one and had to ask for more towels we stayed there for 2 days for a wedding in town. I wouldn't stay there again should of stayed at the Super 8 down the street for a couple dollars more other family members stayed there and they said it was nicer.

All right

Stayed for three nights.  Place is a bit old and outdated.  Nice location to the city though.  Breakfast was ok.  If it were only a one night thing, great. Not really a place to stay for longer than that for the price paid.

Dodgy area.

We got to the area and it was so dodgy. People were screaming at us in the street. Telling us we don't belong! We are white Australians. We actually didn't end up staying here coz we were so freaked out. There were sirens going off all the time. We drove to Monterey and stayed there!

Kind of good.

Pros: Free breakfast, Quiet
Cons: bad management, "shady" area
Me and my fiancee stayed at the hotel for two nights. We arrived late at night, but everytime we did that in the past - the receptionist was ready to show his or her best. Not this time! The receptionist was asleep when we arrived and he wasn't helpful during the check in. The room wasn't been cleaned after the first night, they didn't even change the towels (it looked like they went in just to turn the AC off). Anyways, hotel itself - Not Bad! Room was big, bed comfortable and we had the fridge and microwave for ourselves in the room. Washroom was small but clean. Continental breakfast was up to standard. Great coffee, sweet buns to grab 'n go. After all - Good value for money. Would recommend for short stay, for someone who doesn't want to spend too much time at the hotel room.

Great Bed

Pros: Free Internet
I really liked the bed on this one, a nice big king. The only drawback is they don't have enough parking spaces for all the room, so I had to double park by the entrance. It wasn't a problem, but a slot would be better.

Lots of broken things, toilet, shower curtain rod, walls....

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants
Cons: Noisy, dirty and broken
it was pretty reasonably priced but our room wasnt very clean and the toilet twisted and tilted whenever you sat down. I was afraid the curtain rod was gonna fall on me everytime I took a shower. walls were dirty and patchy paintjob....grout in bathroom was black in spots.

Perfect stay for a busy weekend!!!

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet, very quaint little downtown area. lovely
I was in town taking my niece to a couple of colleges in the area (CS Monterey Bay, UC Santa Cruz, Notre Dame). The hotel was located close enough for me to make the drive without any problem. The room was spacious enough so that we didn't feel cramped, and we both had queen size beds, which we very comfortable. While the tub itself was a little outdated, the shower had a lovely massage feature that made up for the tub. :) The hotel is an older unit, but the added features in the room; hair dryer, microwave, 'fridge, and FREE wireless internet made it feel current and homey. Again, for the price ya' can't beat it!

my stay..

the only good thing about my stay was the comfort of the BED!!. safety...? what...the window doesn't lock...they have a stick in the window....nice...NOT!!.. the coffee that they have in the room...yuk...tasted old and gross.....the coffee in the `lobby' was just the same...what a shame...boy was I fooled by reading the reviews prior to booking this room...just be honest..
