Close to My Relative's House

Pros: Good service for the price.
Location: We visited the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte. It was lovely.
I needed an inexpensive place to stay while visiting my mother, and this worked well, being only a couple of miles from her place. I booked smoking only because there were no nonsmoking rooms left to book, but we were only sleeping there and the smell didn't really bother us. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing clean towels as needed (we had five or six staying per night). The continental breakfast was considerably more substantial than I expected, for the price, and we left for our day satisfied and full. I was tickled that biscuits n' gravy were part of the fare...apropos for SC.

Dirty and no water in the shower!

Pros: NOTHING!
Cons: Hire new cleaning staff and repair the broken fixures and water problems.
Location: We arrived at 3AM traveling from Florida to Ohio. We were on the road again by 11AM. There was an amazing IHOP restaurant just up the highway.
This had to be one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at. The room was dirty and dingy. The hotel was extremely overpriced, but we picked it because it was a Days Inn and we figured we couldn't go wrong with a Days Inn. Unfortunately, we were VERY wrong. We arrived around 3AM, so we were too exhausted to complain. The lights were either burnt out or didn't work. We were told that checkout was at 11AM, but the cleaning staff was beating on the door at 10AM wanting us out. There was no running water in the shower. The rooms were so dirty that when I brushed against the wall in the middle of the night, my husband woke up freaked out because he thought a rat was trying to get us. It was disgusting! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!! Most of the hotels nearby are about half what they charged. I'm willing to bet they are a LOT cleaner too!

I will not stay here again.

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
Cons: Poor breakfast
Room was smelly upon arrival. Lights between the beds did not work, along with clock, microwave, and radio. Continental breakfast sucked. You had a choice of bagel, tiny muffin, and honey bun. Nothing to drink. Coffee pot was empty. Staff was pleasant. Had to try more than once to get a hold of room service. Not happy with the stay.

Would not go back. Always liked this chain till now.

Cons: Poor breakfast, see above
Check-in wait was extremely long - short of office staff and a very slow computer system. Even tho we had prearranged out stay - there was no express line.

Staff very friendly--helped me with late checkout!

Pros: Close restaurants
I was staying here to be close to church for my wedding the next day. Desk clerk put me in a room far from road so it was quiet. She also let me have a late checkout for my room and one I had reserved for my daughter. This is an older property but was very adequate. Room was clean; bed was comfortable.

DECENT MOTEL

STAYED FOR THREE NIGHTS WHILE WAITING TO CLOSE ON NEW HOME IN AREA. I HAVE A DOG SO CHOICES ARE LIMITED FOR HOTELS. PROPERTY WAS ACTUALLY ALITTLE BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. FOR AN OLDER MOTEL IT IS PRETTY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY, I HAD A FEW REQUESTS FOR SERVICES AND THEY QUICKLY ATTENDED TO MY NEEDS. \n PROPERTY IS SURROUNDED BY OTHER MOTELS AND WAS WELL LIT AND QUIET AT NIGHT. AS I SAID BEFORE IT'S OLDER AND SHOWS IN IN SOME WAYS. IT WAS CLEAN, AND NO REPAIRS SEEMED UNATTENDED. CLOSE TO I-77,AND WITHIN 1 MILE OF ABOUT SEVERAL PLACES TO EAT.\n I'M MORE OF A 3-4 STAR TRAVELER, BUT IN A PINCH, THIS PLACE WAS JUST FINE. YOU WON'T DO BETTER IN THIS PRICE RANGE, BUT YOU COULD DO ALOT WORSE.

You get what you pay for.

very noisy rooms -- and idling bus at 11:00 PM should have been asked to be silenced by staff. Rooms were not clean. Breakfast was fair. Staff kept by credit card when processing it -- should have given it back and/or called me when they discovered it in their possession. More customer focus would be nice. Price low -- you get what you pay for.
