Very quick stay in Billings

Pros: Room and bed comfortable
Cons: Just rate/night
Location: Located close to everything
Arrived late due to competition at a large volleyball tournament (volleyfest) being held at the Metra. So short night- Nice hotel, nothing fancy, breakfast fine. Hotel was full due to soccer and vball in town but quiet. Wouls stay there again. Not sure it should be $140/night but that mustve been the going rate.

Having a bad couple of days

Hampton Inns are usually reliable, but -- believe it or not -- in the course of a recent two-night stay in Billings, Montana: 1. The fire alarm sounded for about a minute, early in the evening. No explanation offered. 2. The power went out twice, both times later in the evening, Again, no explanation offered. 3. The housekeeper was pounding on our door at 8:30 am, before we were out of bed, much less checked out.

horrible

Pros: Free Internet, good location close to freeway
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, Poor breakfast, inadequate business center, rude housekeepers, mildew everywhere, wet carpets in hallways
This was one of the worst business trips I have ever had. I have stayed at many Hampton Inns before and never had a problem. I was given a room with two queen beds after I had reserved a king. The wireless internet worked only sporadically. The housekeeping staff was horrible, interrupting and knocking on the door and slamming doors up the hallway all morning while I was trying to work in my room. The "business center" has two computers; neither one of them would print (after I had to ask for paper to load in them) and the web connection was very slow. When I asked the night clerk for help, he would check it after the movie he was watching. The pool was very hot one day and freezing the next. The breakfast was next to inedible; I had to settle for yogurt as the fruit was half rotten, and the eggs/hash/cheese was one glob of melted fat. The whole hotel smells of mildew. The staff says they are eager to help, but when I complained they did nothing. I hope this location is not representative of the chain as a whole because the whole experience was unacceptable, and I have stayed at many Hamptons over the years.

Business as Usual... only one small problem

As usual the Hampton Inn was clean and comfortable, with a great business center and hot breakfast. My only problem came when I asked the front desk clerk for a corkscrew and after waiting 30 minutes, I was told that they did not have one. She suggested that I should go to the Restaurant/Bar up the street and they would open it for me! Now that is a first for me! I had to drive back to the store to purchase a corkscrew!
