The hotel was very convenient and the staff very pleasant. The food was outstanding, very expensive but all food in Reykjavik is very expensive. On short notice the concierge staff arranged a lovely private tour of the southern area including to two well known water falls, and delivered us to the airport. The guide was most informative and a delight to spend the time with. My one complaint was the charge for picking up luggage from the room, but fortunately we had asked first and carried our own luggage. I would suggest to carefully confirm all cost ahead. We thought that we had breakfast included, but when we arrived it wasn't. The food in their restaurant were excellent!!!

Close to shopping and restaurants - great staff to help with tours etc. Check out the nearby food court for a selection of food options!

This is an excellent hotel. Close to everything. Conveniently locate to Bus Stop No 12 to pick up all tours. Nice staff. Super clean and amazing breakfast. Had a formidable experience and I recommend a lot.

clean, friendly and great experience

We arrived very early, not expecting a room to be ready. Instead we were upgraded and checked in and were able to get settled in and enjoy our day. We actually were able to, from our room, watch the sun rise over the mountains. The room was clean and modern looking. The front desk was helpful and able to arrange travel bookings and make dinner reservations for a restaurant in town. We went to the hotel restaurant for two meals during the weekend and both were very good. Also the location is very convenient for bus pick ups, and was a very short walk from the bars restaurants and major sights in town.

Items Missing

My check in process was not welcoming after traveling 9 hours. The manager in the restaurant was extremely rude with the concern I had with the seating and to add I had to pay extra for breakfast $60 usd since I was not checked in since my room was not available. Secondly my designer slides went missing when I had to change rooms since I stayed an additional night. The ladies at the reception desk said they will check with housekeeping and bring them to me. The next day came no response. I spoken to the manager for explanation of my slides being left in the prior room and no one gave me answer to what happened to my slides. No resolution or even let me go back to the room to check myself. I’ve traveled around the world and I never experienced this kind of service ever. I would never stay at this hotel again if I decide to return to Iceland. Poorly managed.
