Severely understaffed. Yet they had no problem packing people in for them to wait in ridiculously long lines for the waterslides. We were not able to enjoy all the amenities.

Lifeguard denied my son a life jacket for no reason. I seen something’s foing on from a distance as I approached The lifeguard decided to then start telling a false story about how he did not tell my son he couldn’t wear a life jacket. Although I was Only about 75 feet away.

Great Wolf Lodge KC thru Travelocity

Pros: That a person could never need to leave until check out and the family atmosphere.
Cons: I can't imagine what it would cost if a family with three children went for a weekend and did the "whole experience"...
Location: Kansas City, Kansas was a good 1/2 way point for my son's family and us. We didn't do any other KC activities or shopping.
Check in went smoothly. When we got to the room, we had one bed and a fold out couch, and we had booked two beds and a fold out through Travelocity. The people at the desk knew exactly what to do to rectify the situation because this is a frequent problem between the two. They were fabulous about getting us in the proper accommodations and I didn't even have to tell them how upset I would be if we had the prior arrangements at the cost charged. This is THE place to get away with children for a winter weekend, but be prepared to open your wallet. The "order of the menu" and breakfast buffet were great values with good service, but skip their pizza... Jammie Jamborie, Story Time and Kiddie Yoga were fabulous for our almost three year old, but we skipped the scavenger hunt because the activity and price is more suited for an older child. The water park is fabulous and well staffed from the attentive life guards to the associates who routinely monitored the adult-only hot tub and sent the youngsters to the other hot tub. Upon arrival we got a text message from "Ivy" inviting us to text her with problems or concerns. Never had to seek her assistance.

Nice indoor water park

Hotel located in a central place near everything. Nice theme, clean, perfect staff and spacious room. Varieties of water slides to accomodate every age. Love it and will go again. Had wonderful time.

Overpriced, dirty, uncomfortable beds and NOT a suite

We stayed in one of their basic "suites", so perhaps the other room are nicer, I would hope they are. We arrived in our room to find broken glass on the floor from a broken lightbulb. The room is not a true suite as there is only a half wall between the beds and couch, and the size of the room is no larger then a regular hotel room. Our microwave was disgusting and when we made popcorn it smelled like vomit and we had to put it out on the balcony because the stench was so bad. The beds are only double, not even queen, and are very uncomfortable. The water park is okay, but as adults we got bored after an hour as there is not much to do. The kids loved it though (ages 8 and 5). The water was a bit cold at night as we were there in November, but the next day it was a bit warmer. But overall, I would never stay at a Great Wolf Lodge again. The prices they charge for everything (from the room, to the food, to the games, and all the other extras) are ridiculous for what you get.

Fun hotel stay for young children

Cons: no free breakfast
Great place to take younger kids. Staff in the activies and crafts were very attentive and fun with the kids. Activites geared more toward 12 years and under, although the kids have to be 48 or 50 inches to ride all the slides alone. Our children are on the shorter side, old enough to ride alone, but not tall enough. Temperature in the pool area seemed to be a little chilly the time we were there. Heard many comments about the temp. The prices in the restuarant in the hotel a little too pricey for the amount and quality of food you received. Hotel undergoing some remodeling during our stay. Probally would return at future time.
