The hotel is clean when you first walk in and they keep the pool area clean but that’s because no one is there. I went there for my birthday with my sister and we were one of the only ones there. Definitely not a place for millennials! It’s in the middle of nowhere and absolutely nothing to do besides get in the pool. When I got to what I was expecting was supposed to be my Jr. Suite I felt like I was in a semi-upgraded motel! The furniture was so cheaply made so I was immediately turned off. Let’s not forget about the horrible car accident that my sister and I were in while communicating from one Whala Bavaro back to Whala Urban. We were in the shuttle van and our driver hit a bus and the glass shattered and broke all over us. My whole night was ruined! Called the police and EMS and of course no one spoke English, I had to have my family back in the US call the US Embassy to try and get some help. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again! If you really want to feel like you’re on vacation then Whala Bavaro is the place to be!
