40th Birthday Celebration

When we arrived, we were immediately handed a refreshing, cool towel, as well as a icy 'majestic" drink, then whisked to the "elegance club" check in. Our butler Elise was wonderful! I was greeted on my birthday with a happy birthday banner across the door, a champagne bubble bath in our room, and a sparkling cake after dinner. We enjoyed most all of the restaurants, as well as the entertainment. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and can not wait to return!

Beach is only thing good

Given 1 bed room after booked double beds. So i slept on kids cot all week. Room full of mosquitos. Rude staff. Horrible food choices and food poisoning several times. Manager told us we couldn't use phone anymore while using it to ask for refund. Restaurant had roaches. Have pics as proof. Never again

Customer service could use some work

As far as the quality of the room, amenities, and facilities there are no complaints. Beautiful suite on the fourth floor with two jacuzzi's, large bed, and an overall very elegant feel. The pool and beach areas were nice and the restaurants were great. The complaints lie with the resort staff. To start, the receptionist pulled some sort of scam where he made me believe I was getting a better package deal with the two rooms i booked getting upgraded and I would receive a welcome gift. Complete lie because he switched the room style I booked, had a maid bring me extra toiletries and nothing else, and forced me to pay cash for this so call upgrade without prior consent. I was under the impression he was showing me the rooms he had available but he gave me the keys then left. There's also a bit of a language barrier if your Spanish is rusty but understandable because English is not the main language in the DR. More than once the I felt as though the staff had an attitude towards me because I spoke mainly English but that might've just been my impression. Overall pretty disappointed with the experience

5 star beach with 3 star rooms

Pros: Hotel Facilities were immaculate: From the moment we arrived in the lobby, we were thrilled by the aesthetics and atmosphere of the Majestic Elegance. The two-level lobby area boasted floor-to-ceiling marble, and more importantly, 2 full service bars. were beautifully maintained. The Beach: Clean, palm tree lined, white powder sand, clear water, very quiet (on Elegance Club side, the regular section seemed a bit loud with daily activities, such as dancing competitions). The Elegance Club: It is definitely worth the small amount of extra $ to upgrade to the Elegance club! It was nice to have access to a more private pool and beach area. There are also multiple Elegance Club lounges that had snacks and drinks. They were convenient to stop into to grab extra bottles of water, coffees, and espressos. Cons: Elegance Club room location: Some rooms (of the same nightly rate) are way better than others! We had water leaking from the ceiling in our first room, which over looked a construction site as well. However, after politely notifying the front desk, we were able to move to a room in the "Elle" building without any issues (this may have been due to the time of year we went, not all of the rooms were full). It was steps away from the beach, had a great view, and was a bit cleaner. Room cleanliness: Both of our rooms smelled like Fraternity basements! We went with another couple and their room was also musty smelling. Food: Don't come here expecting spectacular food.

Awesome staff, very nice resort

This was my first trip to the Caribbean. The staff at the Majestic Elegance was awesome! They made our vacation that much better! A special thanks to Jorge, Pastor, Jean Carlos and Anudey for the special attention and happy conversation, despite the language barrier. Your patience is immeasurable! The rooms are nice and well kept. The food choices are plenty so we always found something tasty. We will definitely be back!

Too many mosquitos

Pros: The room was spacious, the food was great and the butler service was awesome, lots of entertainment
Cons: More maintenance on the individual rooms shampoo furniture and rugs
Location: Too many to name and lots of shopping at the hotel and the prices are cheaper than outside or at the airport
Our room was infested with mosquitos, within minuets of being in the room we called to complain and they immediately sent housekeeping to spray off we asked to keep it but were told we couldn't, however it didn't work anyway. After many complaints they finally sent someone to professionally treat the room on our last day. The air conditioner didn't work and leaked water onto the floor which attract mosquitos, the air conditioner was finally fixed on the last day of our 8 day vacation. We complained about changing rooms and were told that they didn't have anything available and even if they did all the rooms had mosquitos. I really didn't mind the mosquitos around the beach or pool because we prepared for that however didn't plan to wear mosquito repellent in our room and after showers or while sleeping but we had to. The sofa and chair way a light grey and white color so they were very soiled and need to be replaced or cleaned. The butler service was awesome our butler's name was Easy he did everything within his power to make our stay pleasant but some things were out of his hands, he called from our room to schedule treatment for the mosquitos everyday at 10 am but they never showed. The food and restaurant service were awesome. The entertainment was awesome there were activities each day and night. I love to travel but because of the mosquitoes in the room, the ac situation and soiled furniture I rate that room a 5 also the safe didn't work it took til 10 pm to re

Colonial vs. Elegance - both GREAT

Pros: The layout, the scenery, the people, the pool, the beach.
Cons: Extra bar tender during the busy hours.
Location: Perfect
We have been here twice (once in Colonial and once in Elegance). This is the place to be, either one you will not be disappointed. There are many food choices and lots of activities. Everyone we bumped into off resort, was either unhappy with their hotel (non-Majestic) or wish they were staying at the Majestic after hearing us talk about it. Both resorts are very similar but the Elegance would be just a touch more accommodating (and more palm trees). We travel a lot, we enjoy a certain level of amenities and luxuries, and they deliver. Disregard the bad review!

Bavaria Beach is spectacular

Cons: Check-in process
Me and my husband traveled to Punta Cana with another couple and their adult children, 6/18-/6/25. Check-In was very disappointed. It was a long process and rooms were not ready. I had made my reservations thru expedia and when we arrived I wanted to update the names of the guests assigned to each room but the front desk employee was very rude and would not listened. I believe her name was Lisbeth. I spoke in spanish so I know it wasn't a language barrier. Even after me and the other couple went to the elegance club checkin she was very rude to the adult children she was checking in. The Elegance club was packed and we had to wait over 30 minutes to meet our butler which in my experience in other All inclusive resorts with butler service was way too long because they should be aware of our travel arrangements etc. I paid for the 3 hotels room and when we were taken to our suite the view was an ongoing construction. When I made the reservation my suite was with garden views and the butler did not say anything until we were actually taken to the room. Thankfully Victor got us transferred to another room by the next day. After this horrible first impression I have to admit that the resort is very beautiful, service is excellent and the activities were entertaining.
