GREAT, CLEAN, FUN

Location: tour and activities all can be purchased within the hotel. Small souvenir plaza right outsize the hotel
Loved, Loved, Loved it. Absolutely no complaint. Food was great and tasty! Food during all times, never go hungry. Great service, friendly staff. Definetly would go again and again!

Nice hotel and Bad food

Excelent facilities, excelent people but the food is bad. Our mayordomo "Angel" very excelent with his service.

Amazing!

Pros: Everything
This was our first time experiencing a trip to Punta Cana. The Majestic Colonial was awesome. We upgraded to VIP and it was well worth it. Everything about this resort was great. Everyone that we encountered were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean; they made you feel so welcomed. All of the pool bars were stocked with whatever you wanted, and again, all of the bartenders were extremely friendly and accommodating. The resort had many different restaurants to choose from, whether you wanted to make a reservation in the VIP lounge, or if you just wanted to walk into the buffet and have a quick meal. If you didn't like the food at one restaurant..you had plenty more to choose from! The beaches and grounds of the resort were beautiful and well maintained; the ocean is crystal blue...gorgeous. The setup for the beach lounges and beach bar were great...just steps away. The resort had entertainment every night, so there was always something to do! They made it very easy to book outside activities (swimming with dolphins, zip lining, etc.). Our personal staff member for our stay was Javier, and he was the icing on the cake. He made our stay so phenomenal; he had our room decorated to celebrate my husband and my anniversary and when we requested a bottle of red wine, there were two waiting in our room not 10 minutes after we had requested it on route to check out the pool. Thank you for a great trip! We will be back next year!

Very nice staff rooms and hotel ground well maintained only thing they need to work is quality of the food was ok but they can do much better

Punta Cana Gem

Another great stay at Majestic Elegance. This is my 3rd stay there and for the money, can't be beat. The Funjestic team is always awesome. Nadi, Evelyn and Joselito are the best and really know how to treat their guests. The food was good, 9 Doors and Steakhouse were best. The beach is one of the best I have been on anywhere I have traveled. There are plenty of activities, never ending booze and a very clean resort. The only negative is the pool is starting to lose tiles and needs minor repairs. I saw 3 people cut thier feet in 9 days. Rooms are spacious and clean. The employees work very hard so make sure you tipthem well!

Great Hotel and Friendly staff.

Upon arrival we were "wowed" by the hotel lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside for me was the moist bed/sheets. I had to sleep over a bath towel and used a sheet to cover myself in order to be comfortable. I believe there is moisture in the bedroom which the sheets absorb. Besides that, everything was perfect.

Anniversary first time

Pros: Drink choice excellent. Lots of activites in the night
Cons: Room had a slight odor, found mold on one of the pillows food was just okay
Beautiful property. A few hickups at check in but the Manager sorted it out. Our bags took some two hours to get to our room. After a free upgrade stayed in the Colonial Club. Butler and private pools for adults, drinks brought to you on beach, private lounge. We don't think it's worth the money. Butler did little for us if we saw him twice that was plenty. The main pool for the resort was huge. It never seemed crowded. Our much smaller adult pools had drinking parties. Food was for the most part average to not very good. Various activities daily. Room had an old odor and we found mold on the pillow on the last day. Experience was ok, but I'd prefer to stay somewhere else.

Nice hotel right by the beach

Staff was excellent always making sure you're having fun. Heard horror stories of people getting things stolen out of luggage when bell boy brings up to room but the bags never left our sight the bell boys brought you and the bags up together. Shows were great something was always happening either by pool, beach, or in the theater. The food was actually pretty good def recommend the omelettes and fajitas from the see and sea buffet. 100% get the majestic drink or get a tucan they were delicious. Also 9 doors hibachi was delicious. The resort beach party was probably the best night of the week though they had a huge buffet and show on the beach. Don't miss The Michael Jackson show or circus show.

Beyond our expectations!

Pros: The staff definitely and the location.
Cons: At the moment we had a blast and if anything needs improving I really cannot come up with one since everything was above our expectations.
Location: Beach, Restaurants, Markets, Clubs, Children's pool, Children's water park, Pharmacy, Doctor, and Bars on premise and within 30 sec. to any of these.
From Day 1 to the last day every encounter and experience was better than the last. The hotel staff was professional, accommodating, friendly, and efficient.

Beautiful beach but not 4 star hotel :(

Pros: Pools were awesome and beach was beautiful. Waiters and housekeepers were very friendly.
Cons: The layout of the room. Better selection of wine that is included in all inclusive. Chocolate martinis were awesome though.
This was our third trip to Punta Cana. We stayed at different resorts each time. It was my husband and myself and our 12 year old son. I have never written a review for any resort before. I also do not consider myself to be a picky traveler. A vacation away from work and normal routine is always wonderful to me! Our room was not ready and this was no big deal. Front desk staff were not overly friendly but everyone else was super friendly and accommodating. They gave us a king size bed room but there were three of us. Had to ask for room change. Room change was to a comparable room. Rooms smelled a bit musty. Beds are comfortable. Room was advertised as a junior suite. In reality, it is a single room with no wall between shower/toilet and beds. So, this is an issue when you have a teenager in the room with you. There was no place to change clothes except in the shower. I feel like this should be considered a 3 or 3.5 star instead of 4. Seems to cater to a young adult crowd. Lots of people drinking and drunk all day long. For us, I would have preferred more of a family atmosphere. Food was just okay! The seafood was great at buffet. Only exception was the lobster was horrible at seafood restaurant. Like mush! We won't go back there. I recommend the Riu Palace in Bavaro!! It was new and beach and food were the best we've had.
