Very nice property

Very nice staff rooms and hotel ground well maintained only thing they need to work is quality of the food was ok but they can do much better

Punta Cana Gem

Another great stay at Majestic Elegance. This is my 3rd stay there and for the money, can't be beat. The Funjestic team is always awesome. Nadi, Evelyn and Joselito are the best and really know how to treat their guests. The food was good, 9 Doors and Steakhouse were best. The beach is one of the best I have been on anywhere I have traveled. There are plenty of activities, never ending booze and a very clean resort. The only negative is the pool is starting to lose tiles and needs minor repairs. I saw 3 people cut thier feet in 9 days. Rooms are spacious and clean. The employees work very hard so make sure you tipthem well!

Great Hotel and Friendly staff.

Upon arrival we were "wowed" by the hotel lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside for me was the moist bed/sheets. I had to sleep over a bath towel and used a sheet to cover myself in order to be comfortable. I believe there is moisture in the bedroom which the sheets absorb. Besides that, everything was perfect.

Honeymoon Vacation

I would give it 4.5 if I could. The WiFi was not working from the time we got there until the last day that we were there, which was a pretty bad coincidence. The only bad I have to say about our stay is that the pool is only about 4 feet deep and the room was a little hot sometimes with the thermostat fixed at 20.5 Celsius (Guest are not allowed to go lower than that). I wish the pool had been more dynamic in its depth. Other than that, the food, the drinks, the guest services, customer treatment, etc. was awesome. They give honeymooners a romantic breakfast and dinner. In addition, while you're in your romantic dinner, they set up your room with a very romantic setting. I would definitely recommend it and will probably be going back myself in the future.

Pros: The comfortable Beds

My husband and I are in our mid 30’s. This is our 2nd time in Punta Cana. The first time we stayed at The LEVEL @ Melia Caribe for our honeymoon - our expectations where exceeded! This time we stayed at the Majestic Colonial in The Colonial Club Junior Suite with Jacuzzi Adults Only Section. Let me also start by saying, my husband and I differ on the size of the resort. I like bigger resorts because there is more to do, lots of goings on and more than likely there's no need for an excursion. He likes smaller resort (Majectic) because its less busy, and all around more simple. When we first walked into the area for check in, I thought, maybe I will change my mind about staying at a smaller resort. WRONG! We checked in and was guided by Billis, our butler. When he took my husband and I on a short tour of the property, I saw him once more during our trip and that was it. So I thought, so much for paying extra for a Butler. Please save your money people! We did like staying on the Adult Only side because we didn't want to be bothered with kids. But that's the only thing I saw a benefit from. We ate at the Mexican, Japanese,"Steakhouse" restaurants. The Mexican was decent. The Japanese was actually pretty good. But the "Steakhouse" and "Seafood" restaurant was at the same place (wth) Why call it two different restaurants? Anyway, the food was just ok. Nothing special to brag about. I was very disappointed. There was a power outage on our second night. SUPER HOT! Never again!

Two thumbs up!

Pros: Just about everything!
Cons: The food, but overall it is pretty good.
Location: Saona Island tour is highly recommended
Immaculate and beautiful resort that exceeded our expectations! All inclusive means all inclusive, if you do it right it is definitely worth it. We stayed in the Colonial Club section and enjoyed everything from the nightly entertainment, to the daily activities, to the many pools, and of course the beautiful beach. There is truly something for everyone. If you want to chill out or party all day, there is no shortage of options to keep you happy. The staff is fantastic, everyone is so friendly. One piece of advice I can give is to speak Spanish to the staff. Even if you know two words, use them and make an effort. That along with tipping appropriately will make your stay much more enjoyable. Bring US dollars and Dominican pesos. A nice mix of both in small-denominations will suit you well. The food is not the best in the world, but for an all-inclusive that is pumping out thousands of meals a day, I thought it was pretty good. Only place I would not recommend is the Le Gourmet buffet. The teppanyaki place is the best, just make sure to make a reservation once you arrive. They have a cool app they set you up with where you an make reservations, order room service, etc. The resort won't hit you with any hidden costs or anything, we checked out and that was that. One warning is give a firm "no" to vendors or photographers who prowl the beaches, unless you want it. Overall, the Majestic Colonial is highly recommended if you're looking for a relaxing vacation at a beautiful resort

Amazing! Can't wait to go back!

Room was nice, bed was comfy, double shots of alcohol all day everyday, food was basic but good (great dinner at Japanese steakhouse). Did the Club upgrade and I would say worth it if you want to be away from children otherwise no real difference (and the butler of course). The adult only pools were fun to meet other guests, get drinks or nap in the sun without splashing and screaming. The beach was beautiful, had no trouble finding a chair to tan on and we were not early birds on any day. We did 3 excursions... Zip-lining - beautiful, fun, a workout for sure, about a 45min drive away Parasailing - scary at first but would do it again Snorkeling - good but no different than in Mexico, 15-20min boat ride, 30-45mins of actual snorkeling Everything was reasonably priced and we booked right on the beach. We went as 2 single girls wanting to have fun and found a fun bar maybe 8mins away called Drink Point... went 3 out of 5 nights! Safe, fun, Ciroc bottle service only $60! A lot of reviews I read complained about staff but we had no issue. I should mention we speak Spanish fluent so that may have something to do with it but we did speak a lot of English to multiple staff member and still have no complaints. Our butler was great and took care of us the whole time there. Staff was amazing! Planning on going back in October! All pricing everywhere in the DR is given in US dollars so no need to exchange.

Anniversary first time

Pros: Drink choice excellent. Lots of activites in the night
Cons: Room had a slight odor, found mold on one of the pillows food was just okay
Beautiful property. A few hickups at check in but the Manager sorted it out. Our bags took some two hours to get to our room. After a free upgrade stayed in the Colonial Club. Butler and private pools for adults, drinks brought to you on beach, private lounge. We don't think it's worth the money. Butler did little for us if we saw him twice that was plenty. The main pool for the resort was huge. It never seemed crowded. Our much smaller adult pools had drinking parties. Food was for the most part average to not very good. Various activities daily. Room had an old odor and we found mold on the pillow on the last day. Experience was ok, but I'd prefer to stay somewhere else.

Pampered Week in Punta Cana

Food was very good, lots of choices and good quality; rooms were spacious and very clean; wifi in many areas but some problems with connecting and being disconnected; lovely beach and facilities; would recommend for a relaxing vacation!
