The resort itself is nice but mainly for families. We booked a master suite and upon arrival we were put into a junior suite. We weren’t told of the downgrade and it wasn’t until we mentioned something that they acknowledged we were downgraded and informed us they couldn’t accommodate our room until night three. Jose and Justina were complete gems and the only reason we enjoyed our stay. We did book privilege so didn’t have to worry about reservations which was nice. The room service is NON EXISTENT. We called the room service to ask for more bottled water since our mini fridge wasn’t not stocked. We waited five hours and kept calling to check the status of the request and were hung up on numerous times. We ended up having to go to the front desk and asked for the water and were told “sorry it’ll come to the room when it does” completely unacceptable in our eyes. If you’re okay with no room service, being lied to about rooms, being scammed into a two hour time share tour then this is the place for you! If not I would highly recommend booking your vacation elsewhere.

I love how big the resort was. Love the lazy river. All the Restaurants were excellent, but the Mexican restaurant. In my opinion they should have a Dominican restaurant so when people visit they can try the local dishes .

I have good expereince in Ocean El Faro, room was good they take care everyday for cleaning, i would mention Alba one of the person take care to make room perfect, drinking selection is good and bartenders also make good drink, kids activity is good those girls do good job with kids and have lot of games, only thing that need improve is snack bar more selection of food and wait long time to get a burger, my family have good time in Ocean El Faro.

Had a great time celebrating my wedding anniversary vacation. Hotel facilities are well kept and there are options on what to do during your day. Felt the Hotel was short staffed at eating venues, usually there was a bit of a wait for beverages and beer was warm at some of the bars. Try the beach bar those guys are great and beer was always cold. We booked a Privilege Category stateroom and José was the Expedia Privilege Concierge attendind us, he went above and beyond to make us feel special, and made sure we were well attended. Facilities for Provilege category where well staffed and had excellent service.
