Nice hotel if you are doing your own driving.

Pros: I loved the pool and the hours of the pool.
Cons: Maybe the hotel can provide guests with english bus maps and directions.
Location: Nothing really close by to do if you don't have your own car during the trip. If you do, then you can go to a lot of places.
This hotel can be a nice stay for those that will be doing their own driving while in San Juan. If you are not driving, then you will have to budget for costly taxi rides or order within their restaurants which is also a bit pricey. This is definitely a hotel for those that have their business expenses reimbursed...not for folks staying within a budget. Other than the cost of food and transportation, it is a nice hotel to stay in.

unhappy

The hotel had no night life what so ever. The casino was just as boring, no excitement. Instead there was a sushi bar which is wasted space with lounge chairs. Instead that could easily be a stage with a band and a real bar. This hotel has so much potential sadly, not being put to use. I go away on a family vacation to do whats not the norm. I wanted to hear live music , with a dance floor. This hotel was more like a senior citizen home. The 4th floor where the infinity floor, again no music as we are sunbathing. I did ask staff if they could play music. They did but it was soo low that my phone was louder.I am so disappointed took a week vacation for nothing

Great hotel

Overall great stay! Location was in convention area and away from night life. However hotel's entertainment was good and drink specials were a plus! Just a 15 minute walk over to the Condado area for night life and dining for variety. Breakfast prices were a. It pricey for eggs and coffee, but you pay for convenience.

Great Hotel, Not So Great Location

Pros: Every single person on staff was unbelievable friendly, including in the casino.
Cons: Other than the location, which can't be changed, nothing.
Location: The location was the only down-side to this hotel for me. I wish I'd picked a place in Old San Juan, as that was where everything good was.
Let me preface this by stating that overall this hotel is great. The restaurants that I tried were both tasty, the pool is beautiful, the room was clean, the entire staff was friendly, the work out room was top shelf. The only issue I had was with the location. I wish I'd have picked a hotel closer to Old San Juan. This hotel is at least a 40 minute walk, one way. While it was a safe walk with beautiful views, it was still a 40 minute walk. Taxis are expensive, plus I love to walk, so I made the trek a few times but dang it tired me out.

Nice place, but older and not close to anything

Pros: The pool was really nice.
Cons: Updates...hallways and exterior look like they are from the late 80s. Lower prices for amenities.
Location: It's near the convention center. Unless you plan to go to a convention, there's nothing nearby to do without a car.
The hotel was nice, like every other hotel in San Juan, it's older...but this one's well kept. The biggest draw back is it's within walking distance to an Olive Garden and Sizzler, and that's about it. Plan on taking cabs or renting a car if you stay there. The 4th floor pool was nice. The staff overall were nice, but only a couple people stood out as great, we enjoyed taking with one waitress at the pool bar on our last day, I wish she had waited on us at the beginning of our trip instead of the end, she was a hoot! Everything at the hotel was expensive...comparable to Maui prices if not more. This was the case for much of San Juan, but we noticed it most at the hotel. Our room was nice and comfortable which was a plus.
