This was a very disappointing hotel - run down - smelly rooms - no roof deck bar - no breakfast- did not get 2 of the 3 rooms i booked yet waz charged for the larger rooms

This was not a 4-star hotel as it is listed. If it were listed as a 2-star hotel, I would have a great review. However, when something is listed as 4-star quality, I expect certain things. The room was extremely tiny and the bed was miserable to sleep in. Not comfortable at all. At 5'3, I could not use the toilet without my knees hitting the sink. All you could do is stand straight up in the shower, not able to shave or anything. The location was great- very close to the Vatican and St. Peter's, however you could hear everything through the windows and the walls.

Excellent Customer Service

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful!
Cons: More storage (drawers), more electrical outlets (none in bathrooms).
Location: Close to everything, restaurants, shopping, The Vatican, St. Peters.
Very friendly and outgoing, eager to assist in any way possible.

Good Location; Nice Neighborhood.

Hotel needs updating and looks shabby. Expected more amenities. Close to airport shuttle. Breakfast was well worth price, especially considering options in area. Nice restaurants nearby.

'Chic' means Cheap

While the price was right for 5 blocks from the Vatican entrance, I guess the best word is quirky. Orange as the dominant theme color gets old quickly. Odd angles in the room just waste space calling it trendy. The staff was energetic and helpful. The rooftop restaurant and lounge was very nice. But the drawbacks are irritating. NO elevator from the ground floor. Had to lug our bags up to the lobby floor. They encourage you to walk the stairs to 'stay in shape', but that's so don't notice the elevator is very small and jumpy. There was a noticeable mildew aroma and plaster peals, but it's not a new building. The spa tub didn't fit on its base true, probably because the walls aren't square. The bed was very firm with only one small pillow. Everywhere were mottos to recycle and reuse which sounds fine, but all that translates to higher profits for less service. If I reuse my linens and towels then where's the price payback on the additional nights? Another issue was a printer for the business computer needed for airline boarding passes. They used to have one but don't now. You have to email the front desk anything to print. Most of the cabbies didn't recognize the name. All in all, the people were great but the building left you wanting.
