Perfect Beach Retreat

This was the nicest resort we've ever seen! We were treated like royalty. We had the best time! (Note: I'm not sure why but, the swimming pools were warm water pools and in August they would have been more refreshing if they were a bit cooler.) The ocean of course was the perfect temperature.

Best customer service around

Pros: Customer service Rooms Proximity of rooms to pool and beach The evening entertainment is great.
Cons: The food, especially the buffets and the japanese restaurant. Don't bother with the sushi. The service is also very slow.
Location: Its not really close to anything, and taxis are expensive.
The hotel is very nice, the rooms are nice and spacious, and the bathrooms are too, the beach is ok, and the pool has too much of a party atmosphere for my taste, and I like to party. The food is not very good, its just ok. But what I loved most about it was the customer service, it is truly INCREDIBLE, and I MEAN INCREDIBLE. The staff are hands down amazing, and will do almost anything to accommodate your requests. I don't think I"d go back, but I would recommend it.

11 days is not enough

My husband and I have traveled quite extensively, and the grounds of this resort are by FAR the most beautiful we have ever seen. A huge bonus for us was the "Imperial Band", which is so good that I would pay to go see them in concert. We danced several nights to the live music, and even stayed for the DJ dancing until the wee hours of the morning a couple times. Such a nice feature to have dancing available for couples who don't want to venture into unknown situations in town. Also: HIGHLY recommend that you schedule the free photography session. We brought some truly remarkable pictures home with us.

Pros: How respectful they all are. Everyone works under the motto: all for one and one for all
All excellent, especially the hotel staff. They are all very respectful, polite, funny and attentive. It is very clear that in unity there is strength. All work equally and cooperate with each other. The most important thing is that they know that the guest is the one who comes on vacation to have fun and they are there to serve them with quality and kindness.

Everything was amazing, but....

Whatever you do don't get the lobster! It was way overpriced ($80 for my wife and I to have two lobster tails) and was the least tastiest thing we had there the whole week. Other than that the place was amazing!

Tips and tricks

Hotel clean. Pool clean. Drinks good and live shows/entertainment so so.... here is the rub. For females it is great. They can wear whatever they want when they want. Guys, even if you dress well (like I do), wear expensive watches and colonge (like I do), have great hair ( yup, me too) they make you wear shoes to 95% of the restaurants. Now I understand why this rule might be in place for the everyday "broseph" but if you are rockin' a nicely pressed shirt and pair of pants, this should be exceptable. Hence the workaround, bring a small packpack to put flip-flops in. Swap out halfway through dinner and walk out with the toes blazin. Trust me, if you are going to spend the rest of the night walking with your girl (or guy) you want to be comfortable.

AMAZING RESORT!!!!

Cons: More carts available at dinner time to transport guests to main lobby area
I cannot say enough positive things about our one week stay at this gorgeous resort!! We did upgrade to a suite and we purchased the privilege package that was so worth it and beyond our expectations!! The staff is courteous and more than accommodating, the grounds are spotless, the beach is beautiful and the pool was stunning, the food, beverages, restaurants and lounges and bars were once again much better than our best expectations!! We will definitely return again, it was a week in paradise!! Been to other islands and other all-inclusive resorts..Valentin Imperial blew them away!! Bravo!!!!

Pros: Peaceful, different activities , facilities pretty much everything
Cons: The floor in thr corridors are extremely slippery when wet

Great hotel for adults

Pros: I liked pretty much everything about the resort. The proximity of rooms to the pools and beach were great.
Cons: We upgraded to privilege so we could guarantee a cabana. Would be nice to just be able to rent the cabanas without having to be privilege.
Location: Not a lot to do within walking distance but certainly many ways to do other things. They do have a shuttle to Playa del Carmen for $18.00 RT.
We had a wonderful stay. The garden/landscape was kept immaculate as was the condition of the hotel in general. They greet you with a smile and a cold cloth for your hands/face. Staff is very professional, polite and happy to assist you. In my opinion, this is probably one of the best all-inclusive resorts in the area.
