Location, location, location!! Love the boutique charm where you feel special versus the large resort hotels where you are lost among the throngs of vacationers.

The room was very clean. Room view was just as requested/ beach view. Staff very friendly. Only thing, could use lounge chairs on balcony.

We were blessed to get an upgrade to a junior suite, blew us away! The balcony and room were huge. The room was about 500 sq ft. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the French toast for breakfast. Prices were not bad for a 4 star restaurant. One night we ate burgers at Hard Rock, the next night I had pasta Alfredo with grilled chicken and my husband had the seafood platter. Our bill at Holland House was only 5.00 more than burgers at Hard Rock! I can’t say enough about how beautiful and wonderful this hotel is. Will definitely be back!

We called hotel before booking and asked if hurricane in September 2017 had affected hotel or attractions. Was told hotel was back to normal and island was almost recovered. When we arrived at hotel we found there was construction going on in floor above us, very disruptive. We also saw the hotel advertised room service but it was not available. This was not acceptable since we had been looking forward to a relaxing stay. Air conditioner vent overhead in our room constantly dripped water onto floor and on our heads as we walked around room! Expected room to have microwave, it did not. No ice machines convenient to room, had to go down to bar to get ice. Asked hotel to call taxi so we could go to Casino Royal...they did not say it is rubble, not there. Taxi drove us to the site of the casino but was demolished. Hotel knew this and did not tell us and we wasted money going on a wild goose chase. The brochures available at hotel were misleading and should not have been there. For example: Zoo, Bird Sanctuary, Butterfly excursion were not open. We also booked reservation for glass bottom boat tour and we took taxi to location and waited hour and boat not available. Again, paid taxi fare for nothing. Overall, we are extremely upset that our vacation was not the fun time we had planned. Feel we should receive refund for this debacle.

in the middle of everything

You didn't have far to go to entertain yourself. The hotel is centrally located in Philipsburg, close to shops and restaurants. Sadly - there is a lot of storm damage, more so the French side. The airport terminal is heavily damaged with all departures and arrivals including baggage claims done outside in a tent. The weather was perfect with temperatures in the mid-80's. If you are jewelry shopping and they offer you a Dutch Coffee, take it, it's a bottle of Heineken. Everything about the Hotel was very nice, the staff, room service, front desk folks and those working the restaurants and bars. This was our 6th time back in Sint Maarten and it was the best

very nice hotel

great hotel but I wouldn't recommend swimming in great bay. We stayed the week of 9/12/15 and there was strong smell of sewage in Phillipsburg, specially near the canal on the east end of the beach
