I chose this hotel because the location and being somewhat historical and it delivered on both. The hotel is a short walk from Lime street station and local shops & restaurants. What I found unusual is how the doors to the rooms open out to the hall. At first I thought this was a converted government building, but was assured by my relatives that this had always been a hotel. The room was quiet and spacious but is in need of a refresh. The one restaurant off the lobby only offered a buffet breakfast which is disappointing to those that just want a quick continental breakfast. Overall was a good experience...

Although the facility is old (more European than facilities in the States), it was accessible (lift, ramp, etc.), the room, public areas were clean. The best thing about the hotel was the friendly staff, especially Becky and Mesha (I hope I spelled her name correctly). The food (breakfast, room service and restaurant) was another factor that made this a good place to stay.

3.0 Lacking a lot

This nice hotel did not offer any coffee/tea in the room for us, did not have complimentary WIFI, did not have a payphone for us to use our phone card, we could not raise the volume to our TV enough to hear it well and the hotel could not adjust it, and did not have a shuttle service to the train or airport stations. However the room was nice and staff .
