Great Hotel!

Pros: Location and staff. The staff is very professional, helpful, and polite. The rooms aren't "American super sized" but large enough to be comfortable.
Cons: I am fine the way things are.
Location: It's across from The Louvre and you can walk to everything. If you don't like walking, there are many taxi's.
The location is perfect being across from The Louvre. We walked to everything - The Louvre, river, park, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, bus tours, river tours, etc. The people of France were so very nice and polite. We felt very safe and security is everywhere.

Dear Mr. Indelicato, First, we would like to thank you for choosing the Hotel du Louvre regarding your stay in Paris and for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. We are glad you enjoyed uour great location and our service quality. We look forward welcoming you back in our property. Sincerely,

5 out of 5

Pros: Staff, customer service and room cleanliness....
Cons: Upgrading is already underway, but try to keep the charm.
Location: Location is PERFECT.... accessible to attractions and taxis.
This was our third time visiting Paris and our first time staying at this hotel. We were celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. From the time of our arrival to the time of our departure, the staff and customer service was EXCEPTIONAL.... The hotel facilities, condition is old but that is what gives the hotel it's charm. Our room was not ready, however, the manager gave us a room to relax, shower and change until our room was ready. The rooms are VERY clean and with renovations underway the hotel rooms will go from a 4 star rating to a 5 star rating. The extra money we paid to upgrade to a larger room was worth it. The room overlooked the Louvre. The hotel location is perfect. We will not consider staying anywhere else when visiting Paris. The April weather cool and sunny our entire stay.

Close to everything

This was our first time in Paris and we could not have picked a more wonderful place! I had e-mailed the concierges before we left on our trip and the staff responded most politely and graciously. The staff is truly there to serve you and to make your stay enjoyable...from the front desk to the knowledgable concierges..to the staff at the Defender Bar to the restaurant staff...we felt very comfortable and very welcomed...We will return to Paris and stay again because of this great staff and accommodations we had.

Excellent location - beautiful.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
A beautiful hotel. Small rooms, as expected in Europe in an 'old hotel'. But furnishings and decor were modern/upgraded. Clean rooms (no bedbugs!). Also, the room was quiet. The hotel had added double windows to provide sound insulation from the noisy street. It was nice to be in the "middle of the city" without the noise. Only problem was that the room was very warm - the A/C did not seem to work well and this was in April.

Bravo! We will return!

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet
Our five night stay at the Hotel du Louvre was such a pleasure. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent. We were within walking distance of many sights and the metro was so close by. Excellent shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. We found our groove at the Hotel du Louvre!!

I loved the hotel. I felt like I was in PARIS!

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Most of the time I stick with American brand hotels so I know what to expect but I am glad I didn't this time. The staff was excellent and so friendly. The location was perfect. We could walk across the street to the Louvre, stand in the plaza at night and watch the Eiffel Tower lights. When I return I will stay at this same hotel. We stayed in a suite which was more like an apartment. The restaurant food was average at the hotel but we only ate there once. Our experience was so exceptional while in Paris, I would love to go back soon.

Great staff, great location, classy

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, close to museums
The staff was so friendly and accepting. They held food for us in the kitchen that me and my partner prepared at cooking school. The hotel was close to the art we so much loved seeing that we walked most of the time. We had a great view and got tickets for events through the hotel. I will always stay here when in Paris.

Perfect location and beautiful hotel

Stayed here on the first leg of my 50th B-day celebration and it lived up to my hopes. Beautiful inside and fantastic location met all my needs. We even took the RER from CDG and came up through the Louvre mall at the Palais Royal stop for easy access from the airport. You literally look up the street from the front door to the Opera. Look for deals as it can be expensive, but it is a treat if you can swing it. Staff was very helpful and the fact that it has a fitness center is a plus. I was able to have some work that I had done on the plane scanned and sent back.

Hotel du Louvre

My husband and I spent spring vacation in Paris and stayedat the Hotel du Louvre. The location was excellent, the Louvre museum is just a matter of 30-seconds walk from our hotel. There are 3 Metro station easily accessible by our hotel and it beats walking around to get to your destination. The staff mad our stay very memorable. I contacted the hotel via email and made specific requests and they granted my requests (i.e. non-smoking room, place us on the top floor with incredible views - we have the Louvre museum views 24hrs-a-day) but not only that they have exceeded our expectations by sending us a complimentary bottle of champagne when we arrived. The staff are very courteous and serviceable. The only downside is the temperature control of the room. Since it was still very cold, the room temperature seemed turned off, so we opened our windows to get some cool air insid our room but that also mean that we hear the traffic outside as well - and since it is a very touristy area and popular museum, the traffic was always busy even at night. I had to wake up some nights because of the traffic. But that to me that was a minimal discomfort. The bed was comfortable - we have plenty of cabinet space and overall, the room was very comfortable. Defintely, we will be using this hotel again and their company-owned chain of hotels across Europe. By the way, Hotel du Louvre, brassiere was also awesome, they serve a very good breakfast buffet and the staff are wonderful. Food was excellent and price is competitive with other 5-star hotels.
