The staff there was very accomidating, helpful and just really good people. From the front desk staff. Especially Pedro to Naz the bar tender/server/cook. He really was personable. My husband had never been to Paris and he helped us navigate through the city. Just a very sweet hard working person. We will miss him. We moved on to Loire Valley and in no way is this staff comparible.

They are no helpfiul

Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet
The hotel that we stayed at was bad, I didn't feel safe with my kids walking back to the hotel at night. They said that the breakfast was free but it wasn't. They also said that someone would help us with our bags but no one helped us.

Staff: friendly and welcoming. Facility: Certainly not three star.

Pros: none
Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet
We were attracted by the price and the location. This was a big mistake. Last time in Paris we stayed at a 2-star in the Latin section. It was nicer and closer. This Holiday Inn is nothing like the Holiday Inns in the USA. The lobby is fair to OK. The room reminded me of a 1960's college dormitory with a private bathroom. The rugs were old and musty-smelling. The beds used the wall as a headboard (just different paint). The woodwork trim about the room was made of cheap 3/4 in. pine boards. The bathroom had exposed piping to the toilet, which was later boxed-in by painted and open-ended pine boards. The halls had a musty smell. The price was no bargain. You get nickle and dimed for everything; from beer to breakfast. Even parking was 20 euros per night. At best, this was a one star hostel. Stay away!

The staff was very friendly and helpful

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, close to metro vanguard
Cons: No free Internet, expensive breakfast
The entire hotel was very adequate and it was very easy to visit all of Paris from this hotel. The front desk staff explained were to walk to see the famous sites and historical buildings in the city.

A small walk needed to get to metro/ but great hotel.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
I booked this hotel for a three night stay with my family of four. It is a six minute walk to the metro station. But it is main line that takes you straight to the heart of Paris. The area was fantastic. The best meals my family had while in Paris were at the Italian restaraunts located near the hotel. And since they were not in the main tourist locations the price was reasonable. The hotel had cold AC. Very important in summer in Europe. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice place to retreat after a day of walking around Paris. I would stay here again. No internet though unless you paid a 5 euro fee per day. But there was an internet cafe around the block where I sent photos through email back home for only 1 euro.

Bad Refund policy - Don't recommend it

I stayed there with my wife and 2 children. The Hotel is ok, the rooms and bathroom are small. The elevator is super small can hold like 3 people at a time. It seemed like a good price thoug unfortunately we missed our flights because of the weather and even though I had the Travel agency agent called before the cancelation policy time they still went and collect my money. Once I get there they told me nothing couldn't be done and I paid for an extra day I didn't use. My opinion is that the Manager that works there applies the refunds himself and pockets the money of the guests. Same thing with Taxi's he probably cohorts with a friend and trips that should be less expensive end up costing more. Beware.

Recent stay

We were leading a trip consisting of 5 teenage kids and three adults on an educational trip of Paris the week after Christmas. I can rate this Holiday Inn quite highly. Though the first night was a total waste because I couldn't sleep due to traffic noise (NOTE: book your rooms on the side away from the front and facing the courtyard behind), they quickly rectified the problem. The staff was polite, strove hard to help out the kids with their French and were helpful on directions. Sure, the showers/bathroom was small, but that's the way it is all over Paris (not to mention some of NYC too). Having a Metro entrance outside the hotel is quite and advantage over other hotels (because sometimes you have quite a hike ahead of you). Breakfast was filling, good and they had breakfast ready for our group at 4:00 am, in order for us to make our flight. I've read other reviews for this hotel, and I can tell you that if book a room in the back, learn to say a little French, and drop some of the American attitude that many travelers possess, you'll appreciate this place.
