Great view, tucked out of the way. Nice pool. Property is a bit used looking. Lots of little things starting to go. Decking boards coming loose, tiles falling off the poolside bar. Nothing dangerous, just a bit past its prime.
The nearby beach is a solid walk down the hill but worth it. Very local with families and the odd beer / ceviche for sale.
There is not much do to on the hotel grounds, which is nice in a way. Just sit by the pool and watch the ocean.
The rooms are fine, though smallish and a bit loud. The food is okay, but you don't go on gastro tours of Costa Rica generally. Stick with fish or veggies. More food choices in Paquera, Kinchos pizza is pretty decent pizza and most of the other restaurants have typical Costa Rican food.
Overall it's okay for a night or two or as a segue to another part of the country.
