Attractive and well maintained resort and marina.
Pros:Friendly and helpful staff, well maintained and attractive suite, multiple services on site.
Cons:The cost of food and alcohol on Harbor Island is very high for what you get, and Valentines' prices were no exception.
Location:Located on calmer bay side of Harbor Island, but only a 10 minute walk across the island to beautiful pink sand beach. Towels, chairs, etc. included.
Valentines Resort and Marina, located on the bay side of Harbor Island, Eleuthera, is worth consideration if you're looking for a small, relatively quiet and attractive hotel in the Bahamas. The complex of pastel-colored buildings surround a lovely pool, and the office, open air bar/lounge, restaurant and shops are all within steps of one another at the shore end of the dock. A water taxi from Eleuthera (10 minute ride) delivers you directly to the resort where you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Harbor Island's famous pink sand beach on the ocean side is only a short walk across the island. Walking (or golf carting) around the island town is easy and safe, and there are multiple other places to eat. Be forewarned, however, that the cost of food and alcohol on Harbor Island is very high, and Valentines' a la carte prices are no exception. Overall, we were very satisfied: nice small hotel, friendly people. Our only complaint was that we were charged a daily "resort fee" even though our Travelocity confirmation specifically stated the fee was included in the price, and the hotel would not budge.

Free self parking is available. Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this 4-star Dunmore Town hotel.
