Room was beautiful and clean. Hotel in general was beautiful and clean. However, there isn't a microwave in the room. We had to go to the 7th floor to use a microwave. The dryer on the 2nd floor was terrible. $2.25 for 63 mins and my clothes weren't even close to dry! I had to hang 5 people's clothes for 5 days to dry over night. On day 4 our room stopped having hot water! Called the front desk and they sent a engineer to the room within mins. He checked the water, sure enough no hot water. He went to the boiler room and reset the boiler, came told us to wait 20-30 mins for hot water. 30 mins later, no HOT WATER. After a day at Universal we were exhausted so we went to sleep setting our clocks early to get showers before heading out. 5:30 am the next morning still no hot water. I have 2 sixteen year old boys and one daughter on her cycle, not to mention we all felt yucky! After spending another day a Universal we came back to the room, still NO HOT WATER! This time I went to the front desk and spoke to the hotel manager. They comped me 2 nights Resort fees---$20/night. In my opinion, they should have comped the room. But we were able to sleep and use the room, so I understand. At this point they gave us another room to shower in (We had entirely too much stuff to move to this new room, we were leaving the next morning). Overall, the hotel was good. I would stay there again, but I'll bring my own microwave! Oh, and guess what happened the morning we left, HOT WATER!
