No need for a wallet! ALL INCLUSIVE LUXURY!

Oh man where do I start with this resort? First of all we went for our honeymoon. Neither of us ever went to Jamacia previously. When we arrived Sandals had a nice place inside the airport where they took your bags and had a great lounge area as well. *Do not convert your money from US it's 15% fee and serves no purpose. The ride to Ocho Rios was just like driving in the US no crazy drivers or super bad roads. (We're coming from PA though so our roads rank last anyway.) Got to the resort and paradise began. Loved the fact that we had two butlers to help us but really didn't know what to do with them other than making dinner reservations. Room was nice but bathroom although clean seemed a little out of place for such a nice place. Mini bar was fully stocked with whatever alcohol we requested. The place has peacocks everywhere. Very neat. The french restaurant was a must. We actually did it twice it was so good! Orlando served us there and did great. Even took our picture. Actually all the staff was always offering to take your picture which my wife liked. The beach butler was Adrian and he knew what you needed and always keep the beach goers satisfied. (BTW Beach and personal butlers can take tip.. Beach about $5-10 a day and personal $10-20 depending on how you feel. We waited till the end to tip both but would have rather tipped Adrian the first day so he knew he would get something. (believe me he's worth it) Vurgina was the tour rep. She was in the lobby ready to help. We did the dolphin ride, tubbing and ziplining, and catamaran ride to Dunn's river falls. all of which were great. The Dolphin excursion was over rated. Swimming with the dolphins was amazing and the rest of that place was boring. We left early. I would recommend that instead of booking through the tour guide you use your butler to make you a taxi ride back and forth and pay just for the dolphin swim there, that way you can save money for the $50 5x7 pictures they want to sell you! All in all the place was so relaxing, no kids anywhere. We did go to the Rivera next door because they had more restaurants and had sushi at Soy, and ate at Neptunes. It was very neat that your butler went over there with you to get your meal started! (thanks Richard and Sheldon!) We will go back!!! The next day after we got home Mark the GM who talked to us at dinner one night called and asked me how our trip was and wished us well. (No sales pitch or sales talk, just checking in on us.Thanks for a great honeymoon Royal Plantation

Great Anniversary Trip!

Pros: tipping not allowed except for butlers, all inclusive
Cons: No free Internet
My wife of 25 years and I just returned from spending 4 nights here. It was terrific! Very quiet, no loud music or beach parties, just serenity and fantastic service. The food was great. They are wonderfully overstaffed, meaning we never waited for drinks, food, or whatever we needed. We felt like the staff truly wanted to serve and please us. The beaches are small but not crowded as there is a small number of guests. The butlers (Audell and Tafari) were attentive and were great with special requests. We would return in a heartbeat!

wow what a change

me and my husband stayed at this hotel sixteen years ago,and it was incredible and beautiful then.it was just called plantation inn. now i see pictures and they have made it even more beautiful ,ahh...how i long to go back.the staff was great then and from reading other reviews i hear their great now.i just had to write because i was glad to see that this was still a first class hotel after all these years.i wish i could put all my pics up of the way it used to look but im not computer savvy.way tp go plantation inn cheryl longing in mo.

TREATED LIKE ROYALTY

THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!! BEST KEPT SECRET IN JAMIACA. This was our first vacation ever and WOW what a special experience we had. We feel so fortunate to have chosen the Royal Plantation. We'll never stay anywhere else. Starting at the arrival at the airport we were treated like royalty. Every whimp was attented to. The resort was well manicured and so beautiful. The food was GREAT for every meal. The room had a perfect view, exactly as we had hoped. The service was above and beyond our wildest dreams. Every staff member made us feel very special. They never EVER made us feel like we were putting them out. Everyone ALWAYS was anxious to make our dreams come true and attend to our every need. Its too hard to pin point any one staff member as our favorite because all of them were extremely courteous and helpful. The Assistant Manager who just arrived (sorry but I can't remember his name) was AWESOME. The butlers, R and C made what seemed impossible possible. G, A and B ALWAYS had a smile on their face with magnetic personalities and so did the little travel agent at the resort. I hate to give away surprises but if you book a trip make sure you are there on Jamiaca night. The food and entertainment is amazing. After hearing about our recent trip to the Royal Plantation ALL of friends and family want to go there and we are spreading the word. Truly we have nothing negative to say but only POSITIVE about our experience. The only disappointment we have is that it was too windy to go snorkling.

Words cannot describe!!

Absolutely and unequivicably the closet to paradise we have ever been. Suites are all facing the beautiful water and are done in Hemingway designs. Service is impecable and food is as well. Dined on lobster club sandwiches for lunch. Nothing is left undone and true pampering to their guests is their goal, at which they are excellent. We cannot urge you strongly enough to take this property as your choice for a vacation that is the first and the best memory you will ever have. The staff, under the guidance of a remarkable manager, are first class. It is a premier hotel, untouched by loud music, drunks, and sreaming chldren. It you want to experience, first hand, luxury, pampering, excellent food, and well, just the kind of vacation that makes you cry out.....""I DO NOT want to leave......please let me stay forever, then this is the one. I certainly fell in love, and am going back as many times as is humanly possilble.
