    Property condition

Arrived at 1pm, and thought we'd try to check in. We were told our room was ready, and they'd be happy to check us in... "early", for a fee of $75! Yes, a pure money grab. So, we left to get some drinks somewhere else. Hotel Management, we would have tried the bar at the hotel, but you left us with a bad taste in our mouth... so we went elsewhere. We checked in at 3pm. Found out we'd also have resort and parking fees. Stay was OK. Bed was very hard, shower had quite a bit of mold / mildew, looked like someone had just tried to caulk over the problem, and it wasn't working so well. Went to check out the next day, and wanted to get some breakfast a short walk away. Seems checkout is 11am, so inquired if it would be OK if we checked out potentially 30 minutes late, and was told that would be a $100 fee. So, if you like to have to pay ridiculous amounts, for what most hotels will do for a smile, I suggest the Waterfront Hotel... they have a true Joie de Vivre, which I now understand is French for; joy of trying to alleviate you of cash!

    Great hotel & nice location.

Our Reunion group stayed here for the weekend, great hotel and location. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

seems boutique - but kinda impersonal.

The stay was fine.... the location was close to an 'event' location - so things were convenient. There were just 2 moments where i felt like i was just a transaction. Upon check in - i asked if i could get a late check out in the morning. I was told i could - but it would cost 75bux. I declined the offer. It felt like a cash grab. I remember better times in hospitality where you could get service without a price. Where a late check out would cost a smile and a good attitude. The next day - after check out - i spend the day touring SFO ... leaving my bags with the porter. I came back to get my bags - order a taxi for the airport and charge up my phone. I asked to use the bathroom - and was made to feel this was a 'reach' even though i had stayed the night before. So - generally - the things you expect would be available as a guest in any hotel - felt like they were available to the wealthy or were a bit of an imposition

    Free wine!

Loved the hotel and the location. Complimentary wine when I arrived on Friday and free coffee every morning. The hotel is clean and beautiful and the area is fun. A lot to do and see and walking distance to the ferry if you want to go to SF for the day. Yummy restaurants. My new hotel when I come for a visit!! Loved it!
