Concerns

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The front office staff
My family and I were very dissatisfied with the hotel. The front office staff were unfriendly and not helpful at all. Our keys could not get into the secured entrance or the hotel room. When we expressed our concerns we were issued another key. We mentioned to them that there were several other customers locked out of their hotels and no one came to help. When leaving the hotel to get some dinner we noticed that the doors were stuffed with rugs and towels so that customers could get into their rooms. The only staff that were extremely helpful was housekeeping and the individuals in the laundry room.

Dear Kalama, We hope you and your family had a nice trip to Oakland and the beautiful Bay Area. We are so sorry to read that your expectations were not met during your recent visit to our property. Our team understands that our valued guests are the most important part of the hotel equation, and we never like to learn that someone did not enjoy the shared interactions. Our housekeeping and laundry staff are great attributes to our team, so we are pleased that you did enjoy your meetings with them. We are also very sorry that you had some difficulty with your keys, and we will be sure to look into this matter right away in order to prevent a repeat occurrence. Thank you for bringing it to our attention, and please consider us the next time you visit the area.

Close to Oakland Airport with reasonable rates

Pros: Food in Bistro 150 is wonderful!Went there for dinner and shrimp salad was awesome!
Cons: Include hotel directory in the room
Location: Very easy freeway access, within minutes of Oakland airport.
The hotel is very close to the airport with easy access. The rooms were nice appointed, well maintained and relatively clean.I did note something sticky on the dresser from a previous guest that hadn't been cleaned off(which I did) and when I returned for my second night, I noticed the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. Trash can liners TOO small; after throwing one item in them, the fell off the edges and it was impossible to insure trash went in the liner. The breakfast buffet (that came with my room package) was very good-freshly made food and included ethnic Chinese food one morning because a tour group had stayed at the hotel-I found this very accommodating. I was surprised that yogurt wasn't available, however, since it is so popular and common at other hotel breakfasts and buffets. There was no hotel directory in the room so hard to find TV channels, location of restaurant and fitness center, etc. When I asked at the desk, they said there were none-that was a first for me, even at lower cost hotels!

Dear Bren, It simply delights us to know we were able to offer you a fabulous stay. We're glad you arrived to a nicely appointed room where you could relax and enjoy. We do apologize that you had a few cleanliness issues and the garbage bag liners were too small. We'll certainly let housekeeping know so they can be aware for the future. It sounds like you filled up on our delicious breakfast buffet; we're so happy you liked it! We'll make notes about including yogurt, thank you for this suggestion. At this time we do not offer a hotel directory, and we hope this wasn't too big an inconvenience for you, please accept our apologies. It is our hope that your comfy room, delicious food, and convenient location made this a wonderful stay

Cons: Try to get a room that is not on the East side with windows overlooking Hegenberger Road. There is a lot of traffic noise.
The hotel is OK, but sit is starting to show it's age.

Restful Reflection

Pros: Quiet. Clean. Convenient.
Location: Easy to get to the BART to travel the area.
The hotel staff were very helpful from check in to morning breakfast. The room was very quiet and comfortable. I had a great view looking north to San Fran and the South Bay. A lovely time of reflection on the 5th floor while visiting a San Leandro relative at the end of his life. Thank you.

Nice hotel centrally located.

Pros: The staff in the hotel and the restaurant, the location, the cleanliness of the room, the room was comfortable as well.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of, we had a great stay.
Location: We drove into San Francisco, Crown Memorial Beach, Oakland Aviation Museum.
Although the location is not in the best looking areas of Oakland, it most certainly isn't in the worst either. We enjoyed our stay and found this hotel to be centrally located to just about anywhere we went, San Francisco, the beaches....very close to major highways and the Oakland Airport. The room was very comfortable and the staff is awesome! They are very friendly, willing to help out, always courteous, they made our stay worth the visit. The Bistro 125 is the restaurant in the hotel and the staff there is great, friendly and really made us feel at home and accommodated our requests with a smile!

you get what you pay for

Pros: quick in and out procedure
cheaper than other hotel. It is the right price for the room. Nothing fancy. A room and a bed and bathroom. I would use the hotel for my quick overnight business trip. Not for the family vacation.

Ok hotel....but

This is a mediocre hotel, Not Hilton, not Motel 6. The rooms a bit run down, outdated, and had a STRONG smell of Moth Balls!!!! took a bit of getting used to. The restaurant food was not bad but way overpriced !! Not a nice feel...

Nice Hotel

Pros: Proximity to my destination. B.A.R.T just across the street.
Cons: The $8 per day parking fee should have been made more prominent on your web site.
Location: This was not a vacation for me, so I was not interested in things to do near by.
Overall, the stay was very pleasant. Close to airport & freeway system. The only problem was the $8 per day parking fee that was not disclosed until arrival.

Great choice for Oakland stay near airport.

Pros: Location, condition, staff.
Stayed here 1 night, to meet up with friend who was also flying in for 1 night before starting road trip. Front desk staff most hospitable and eager to help with taxis. Nice buffet sort of breakfast in the morning. BART station now opened nearby.
