Something for Everybody

This was a family vacation for 4 with children ages 15 and 19 in the cottages:
We enjoyed the tennis, kayaking, bicycling, surfing, snorkeling, massage, as well as local zip-line/shark diving trips. Each day included beach time and hiking on the extensive trails near the hotel. We also sampled all the hotel restaurants and bars (including beachside vending). We did not golf.
My son went on the movie set tour at Kuhaloa Ranch (where Jurassic Park and other shows/movies have been filmed) and I wish I had gone along. Guess we must have been ready for a vacation, because we all even enjoyed running through the silly "World's Largest Maze" in the gardens at the Dole Pineapple Plantation which is not far away. The location was convenient to all North Shore activities, and even Pearl Harbor is just an hour away.
My entire family found the hotel very clean, convenient, and friendly. The setting is relaxing, quiet, and very well maintained. The hammocks on the lawn overlooking the beach just outside the patio door are an amazing place to enjoy a sunset at the end of a busy day. Housekeeping was ridiculously thorough and friendly.
The food was uniformly excellent (and pricey). The area offered other food options: Grocery stores, restaurants, even excellent roadside food trucks.
On the first morning we had noticed people checking out and commented how sorry we felt for them. At the end of our stay, we all felt sorry to leave...GREAT PLACE!
